New coach and his role has changed in the last 2 weeks though. Kicking yourself if you sell him R14 and he keeps playing 50+ minutes for 50s. Worth an extra week to see if these extra minutes continue and he gets dual IMO.

I mean I’m not against holding him all the way up to 17. If he’s the least pressing of the trade outs then I’ll hold a bit

Billy Walters should. I would never rely on him but getting HOK added could be pretty helpful in avoiding getting screwed by a late out for Cook.

Andrew Davey hasn't been a great pick but he's saved me twice at EDG with late outs for Elliott and TPJ.

Doubt Ricky would have been blindsided by this Elliott news. He was already openly in talks with the Knights and his partner Millie Boyle was announced as a Newcastle signing last week. If he was angry at him I am sure he would have cut his role already, but definitely an open secret and a furious Ricky sells newspapers better.

Bunty Afoa played 54 minutes on the weekend, when he's been averaging 37.6 mins this season, so a decent boost.

Is he the beneficiary of the Lodge and AFB injuries? Averages 46 when playing between 50-60 minutes in a very limited sample size.

Would take balls of steel or complete disregard for the remainder of your season to seriously consider for more than 2 seconds of course.

Jazz HIA so Bunty came back on for the last 15 mins or so

Is this for the 2023 season, or an immediate release?
Probably means Elliot is squandered in the ressies for the remainder of 2022.

Absolutely, I (injuries aside) plan to hold trades in Rd.14 & 15

Yep 2023, and probably will get dropped

As an outsider though I reckon he’s a great signing for newy at lock

Not a cashout or keeper would need trading out. Probably doesn't make much with unreliable minutes. You'd have to be swimming in trades

So the 4 extra trades towards the end of the season, do they kick in for use in Round 20 or 21?

Glad I don’t have to hide behind the couch during the titans game, but starting to feel for Dfifi. Carrying injuries all year, can’t get a consistent string of games together and lost his origin spot. I know he’s on a trillion dollars a year but surely it’s worth letting him sit out for like 6 weeks just to get himself right?

As a result, total season trades have been increased by two, up to 36 this year. Four of those trades will be locked until after round 19 – that is, coaches will have access to 32 trades from the start of the season through to round 19. The additional four will be added from round 20.

I had him last year and pretty sure he was rested after the first SOO game. That price is insane though for what he can do.

Fits the Newcastle culture of footy players being off-field dropkicks.
Klem may be the bright shining light there as he's got a young family now.

Locals know waaay too many stories of Joey and Matty Johns off-field shenanigans.
Chief was one of the few really good blokes in the team, ironically the other two were Matt Parsons and Steve Simpson, just great country boys who loved their footy and when they retired, moved back to the bush to run a pub.
I agree though - he's not a player to build a forward pack around.

Randall played near 55min and returned for Milf in later stages. BE 54, plays rd 17. No reason to keep him ?

I think he's been a sell for a couple of weeks. Mann returning soon might take Crossland's HK mins since Knights have a few forwards back on deck. Randall pretty much priced what I think he'll average with 42-43 in ~60 mins.

Yeah, should have gotten rid of him earlier, too busy putting out other spot fires.
