Not only a great poster also a good bloke to have a beer with. Wouldn't be half the fantasy player I am without contributors like Milchy

yup its just terrible management to have such little depth. To not have any sort of cover for either half is crazy.

That's a big part of the reason I had them down for bottom 4. Even if the spine combo of Sexton/Brimson/Campbell worked (remains to be seen) they had absolutely no back ups for injury.

Has a history longer than 2 games that shows when he starts at hooker he averages around 50. That includes many games with a bench utility taking minutes

If I can get that for <500k in a year where cash gen is lacking I'm taking it

Past performance is not indicative of future results.

History irrelevant when he has 8 game starting hooker average this season of 36.6pts and 4 of those games 50mins or less.

Would need to see big minutes this week for me to risk getting him

I was never that into Brown being the coach imo they should have gone outside the box...the Walker bros or someone from nz. Even when Brown played I never saw any mongrel or fight he's just too passive of a person & this is why I had reservations on him being a coach because you need a thick skin to be able to handle a very high pressure position. Don't get me wrong he is a very nice person & very approachable but imo he's not suited to being a coach.

I might do the trade I was wavering on last day of Hastings>Savage for 43k more although can make argument to just accept have missed the boat and not worth 2 trades anymore than last week which at least carried Rd 13 score consolation

I've gone Starling out cause that seems like a priority but tend to agree on the others. Feel like I'm forcing it if I go this week unless RFM is named to start with TPJ back

This is where I decide the with/without Campbell averages for Sexton are actually small sample variance and not the entire reason I took the gamble on him. So everything is fine…

Decent player imo. Might have been over the yoyo, or something personal

Be interesting to see what impact, if any, recent and impending sackings have on team selections over the next month or so

Do the warriors shuffle the pack and get these young guys like Volkman/Asi in to the team? Will be interesting to watch

The footystats website is forever indebted to Milch's BE formula. Perhaps the website wouldn't even exist if it werent for PM's back and forth with Milch at the start of 2018? trying to work out how we can see the stats when the official site wasn't working.

I remain amazed how quickly you put it all together. We had a couple of PMs about stats and then I'm pretty sure you launched footystats the same afternoon.

on TPJ being out for 2 weeks with back spasms seems a bit odd to me. For me that only requires 1 week out at the most. The first week he was out someone posted a photo of him turning up to the ground early & he looked fine & there was no indication he would be out for more than 1 game. We've seen Dufty get the chop maybe Potter has chopped TPJ as well.

Wasn't it herniated disc? That can be 1 week to several weeks depending on severity

Also, any praise on my spreadsheets has to go back to guys like ArsenDragon (for the team planner) and Teetotaller (for the BEs) as I borrowed very heavily from them when I started putting them together. And they were very happy and willing to share their knowledge with me when I was asking questions.

I think in many respects my stuff is outdated compared to stuff like footystats and yafss but happy if my stuff can help people

I still use the team planner/historical stats stuff every preseason and every few weeks to work on trades

Apart from Starling, Hastings seems the biggest concern

Hastings, if he keeps the 7 jumper (got it on merit) should bounce back to be a 50+ average scorer this season. As long as his foot isn't buggered.

I've probably read your BE / player prices post a good 50 times. Seminal!

Not if he runs and kicks less because foot issue which could linger plus Douehi back will goal kick.
