Just a little shout out to a player I havnt seen mentioned once this year.

Peta Hiku as a 369k starting CTR for the year, has just worked away in the background all year to no fantasy fanfare

TPJ in reserves again. Possibly my worst pick of the year and I’ve had some duds. Barely played 50% of the games and bulldogs blindsided me with late outs for Sunday games twice already and this week in reserves for the last game of the round so no idea if I should dump him and move on with my life at the cost of a trade (yes)

He's been lowkey great for the Cowboys

Kiwi side going to be useful in the World Cup. Manu/DBrown/Hughes/Cheese spine, JFH/NAS/Tapine mids, fill in the rest.

Unlucky though mate, when he's played and had the role he's been a monster. Was probably a top 3 R13 gun target a few weeks before then.

But case and point about waiting as close as possible for the bye player ins, especially with fairly large player outlays

Going to wait till that Round 16/17 window to make my second bye moves. Between them and now is just jumping on the cows and getting rid of the Starlings of the world.

After Starling to Bird I’m looking like this with 15 trades in the bank. The start of the season was piss poor so won’t be able to afford big guns.

    Clark
    McInnes, Lolo, MKing
    Tohu, Fermor
    Cleary, Burton
    Penisini, Bird
    Hynes, Ponga, Walsh

    Hastings, Butcher, Sexton, Nanai
    Ilias, Kiraz, Lee, Billy

Thoughts on any other possible trades?

Rumour on Broncos forum that Gamble has a fracture in his tibia. This guy apparently got it right hours before team lists came out that Capewell and Gamble would not play.

I thought Brown didn't want to play for NZ? Or am I getting him mixed up with Luai?

They'll probably still find a reason to pick SJ or Foran anyway, sadly.

Considered Mam as a cash-out to build bank for the next gun purchase.
$325k with unclear JS. No thanks. Think I'll pass on that.
Good luck with the POD Mattnz.

Need some help. I think I have a decent team, but only 2 will be playing in round 17...

Team so far($48k ITB and 8+4 trades left):

    Cook
    Yeo Crichton Harris
    iPap Matterson
    Cleary Burton
    Aitken Tago
    Hynes Tedesco Koula

    RFM Robson Penisini MKing
    Ilias Kiraz MMolo Rushton

I was thinking Ilias+Tago > Savage+DBrown this week, but really not sure how to plan for round 17.

Why not just wait until it’s confirmed. If it’s a serious injury he would have obviously had scans which will be posted by club

I was thinking Ilias+Tago > Savage+DBrown this week, but really not sure how to plan for round 17.

As you say most of the starting team is decent, and you are starting to run low on trades (and cash). Ilias should probably have been sold last week. Since you didn't, you could consider holding him for rd17. His BE is manageable and he's your only half cover for a late out (unless you buy Dylan I suppose) You don't really have the trades to take a punt on another risky cheapie, you've got too many of those already. You don't really have any urgent trade outs, could hold tight? I guess if Savage puts up half decent scores, you could take a punt he makes some decent cash before selling to a rd17 player. Another option is Tago to Bird to free up some funds, again not urgent though.

It really feels like a team that needs to possibly sit back and see how the next couple of weeks play out. I'm not against bold moves, just gotta pick the right moment. But then again, a bold move like Savage (or Mam) can't wait. So in conclusion, I'm no help sorry.

I just don’t understand how Butters can trade in all of Angus, Tohu, Burton and Manu for R13 but then captain Nat Butcher scratch . He assured me he was a Pro!
