Initial reaction was Talakai being selected for origin means he will miss out on rd17 but on the flip side maybe he plays origin 2, gets dropped and is fired up for the rest of the season?

I am in a position where I will probably have to keep him for now anyway and maybe trade him out rd17 if he's not playing.

Best scenario: He's in the wider squad, doesn't make the 18 for both games - and comes out better off because of it.

Wonder if Cook is managing something, doesn't appear to be. If you seriously want korisau there  have him on the bench.

I need Tapine to repeat last weeks effort to compensate for N. Butcher's 12 pts. An 88+ from Tapine will mean both N. Butcher & Tapine will average 50.

If so, and after selecting wingers seemingly to counteract Cobbo/Coates aerial prowess, you'd be forgiven for thinking that Queensland live in Freddie's head and he's maybe a bit more focused on counteracting their game plan then engineering his own?

In reality, it's probably more likely just a case of those little media narratives at work
