I can cover the lot but hopefully teams ahead of me are not so prepared. I'll continue to Bradbury my way up the ranks yet.

Cleary not backing up. Possible Cook doesn't. Wouldn't rule out Carrigan getting a rest.

Round 18 and origin players I own:
DCE - rested after origin 1, would hope he backs up this week especially with manly in tricky ladder position
Angus - who knows with Robbo. Unlikely to play big mins in origin though.
Burton - Have to think he backs up if fit. Dogs Sunday night game so reasonable turn around for him.
Cleary - sounds like he's a definite no, which is fine.
Carrigan being rested + Haas missing another week would be good for me as someone who brought in Palasia
My 18-21 being Tago, Mam, Kennedy, and Palasia would mean reasonable options for doing naughty things if one or two of the above are rested.

Is there anything definite about the Panthers players being rested?
I now that they stood down a heap of NSW cup players that cover the origin players positions, but if I recall correctly, didn’t they do that in origin 1 also?

Nothing 'definite' but a lot of journos reporting that majority of Panthers rested, and the players stood down from Cup correlate with the players being rested and their positions e.g. Falls and SOS for Luai and Cleary
Also they're playing the Tigers. Their under 20s side would beat them

I just wanted to also do a shout-out to the impressive list of other Fanatics currently in the top 100 (or thereabouts);
6 Mulvy
8 DarkKnight
9 Pookus
22 Aardvark Ratnick
30 Jack Torrance
37 WolfKing
56 Ando
62 Rhinoceroo
83 Al
92 Blindside
111 Welshy
117 Camo123
Outstanding!
To be in the company of some of these guys after playing this game for so many years is just epic and good enough of a win for me. Holding a top 100 spot will be the goal for me. Not sure how that will play out but fingers crossed.

I don't know why Angus & Cook would need a rest coming off the bench in origin they would expend more energy on a normal training session compared to the mins they'll play in origin.

I think they stood them down R12, because they knew they’d have to play them R13 when Origin camp was on
So the parallel/assumption is standing them down in R17 is so they can play R18 when Origin players won’t back up

Penrith are 6 points clear of 2nd place on the ladder and they're playing the Tigers. Why wouldn't you tell the Origin boys to put their feet up and enjoy a week's break.

I think I'm going to keep both Mam and Ramsey this week, and instead just single trade Ronnie to Teddy. Ronnie's been scoring tries but hasn't quite done as well as I thought he would, so I'll move him on.
It would leave my team like this, with 2 trades and 52k bank left ready to trade Mam and Ramsey next week to a gun and cow (depends who I can afford, got my eye on Curran as a cut price forward who's capable of being a keeper)
Cook
Ipap, Elliott, MKing
Angus, Matto
Cleary, Munster
Burton, May
Teddy, Hynes, Papy
Moses, RFM, Mam, Ramsey
Averillo, Koula, Palasia, Vailea

Tigers beat Panthers last year when they were missing origin stars.
Lets hope we can do it again

It’s not like they’re going to have to work hard to beat Queensland.Mr Snrub wrote:Penrith are 6 points clear of 2nd place on the ladder and they're playing the Tigers. Why wouldn't you tell the Origin boys to put their feet up and enjoy a week's break.
The tigers might be more of a challenge.

My 3 options this week will be;
1. Penis - Latrell. Just enough for a single trade.
2. Penis - 220K
Mam - DCE
3. Penis - Pole
Mam - Ted.
All 3 options look good. Not sure if it will be worth just skipping Latrell to focus on the others.

Are you gonna be playing Pole? If not, I like option 2

Nah shouldn't need to play him, just a handy backup cause the funds are there. I think DCE though should be the target I agree.

I've got a new plan for trades, going all in on the Cowboys and using my last three trades this week (until the +4 are added week after next at least )
Mulitalo to Drinkwater
Mam to Volkman
Ramsey to Robson
Leaves me no trades and 5k bank but I think a pretty good 17 and decent positional depth, and considering my current rank of 3.7k, I'd rather go down swinging and get on the Cowboys with their great draw in the run home, not to mention Drinky's POD value (1.72% owned in the top 5k)

Mulitano to Drinkwater is a stupid trade to use one of your last trades on.

Drinky has been killing it all year and Ronnie has barely averaged 40 even scoring a try a game. With the Cowboys draw being ridiculously good, I figure I'll get a piece of it.
