Yeah, Mulitalo to Drinkwater is about as sideways as it gets surely? Arguably backwards given the 100k price gap.

But its one of your last trades lol. What happens when Mulitano scores a hat trick this week?

    As always, draw isn't everything.

Drinkwater has scored 29 three times this year.

All of them came against current bottom 8 teams (Raiders, Tigers, Knights).

Any thoughts on what to do with this team?

    Robson
    iPap Mcinness Lolo
    Angus Elliott
    Cleary Moses
    Burton Bird
    Hynes Pap Latrell

    Grant Tohu Haas Koula

    Mam Volkman Kennedy Trindall

    11k, 5 (+4) trades.

Need a better 17th man than rolling the dice on one of Koula/Volkman/Mam/Kennedy scoring ok, and still have the trades to spend, but not seeing an obvious avenue to that upgrade without sacrificing cover (Mam + Koula to Pole + gun would be nice, but leaves no CTR cover).

Pretty keen to get Tapine in somehow, pretty expensive these days but has been gunning it.

2 of those 3 low scores were a result of him getting taken off early and the 3rd one was a low scoring game. Teddy got a 23 in 80 mins vs Brisbane earlier this year and you're not avoiding him because of that.

I mean, he still played 69 minutes and scored a try against the Tigers. Barring a Pap-like final 10 he was on track for sub-par scores in both games. And 18-12 vs the Raiders isn't really that low scoring? 10 players cracked 50+ fantasy points.

No, but I'm also not advocating a sideways trade to get Teddy in just because of his draw.

Guess you could go with Aitken as your gun which gives you centre cover. Or instead of Pole you grab a cheap centre like Herbet and then bring in Curran? I do think Mam and Koula out to strengthen that spot is the way to go.

No, but I'm also not advocating a sideways trade to get Teddy in just because of his draw.

Fullbacks tend to score points in bunches, it's not usually consistent over a game.

That said, given the Cowboys outs this week (playing 2 days after Origin), I think I'll wait a week on Drinky but I'm still selling Ronnie (so Ronnie/Mam to Robson/Volkman)
Ramsey can get one more week given his BE is low, but I would then need him to score within 10 points of Drinky to afford the trade next week.

Thanks mate. Hadn't considered that, playing 3 centres in the 17 feels weird, but I guess it's not really that bad when it's actually two second rowers and a halfback.

Don't mind the Herbert + Curran option either actually, that's given me a bit to think about.

I'd personally go Ramsey to Latrell, Ponga or even To'o over Drinkwater, but if you're set on getting him in then good luck to you, hope it pays off.

Buying Drinkwater after 4 x 50+ scores in a row seems to be playing the game wrong.

A bit like buying Mulitalo in round 7 or whenever it was he'd had 4 x 50+ scores in a row.

Yep I'm high on DCE. Hoping he doesn't get injured in Origin. Him and Grant are my targets then team is set

    Grant
    IPap Klemmer Harris
    Crichton Frizell
    Cleary Hynes
    Burton Aitken
    Teddy To'o Latrell

    Robson DCE Moses Elliott
Koula Kennedy Palasia Peoples (looper where able)

I'm gonna give Ramsey a chance this week then decide on a replacement next week. I could potentially keep him at 18th man instead of Koula if Koula and Teddy get close enough in price for me to afford that trade instead.

Koula and Teddy are currently 251k apart and I have 200k bank after going Ronnie/Mam to Robson/Volkman, so they need to get 51k closer.

Teddy's BE is 71 and Koula's BE is 11, so if Teddy gets a 50 and Koula gets a 35-40 then it's doable.

That wasn't me, I bought Ronnie in round 14. I had him in SC from round 7 but over there he's a genuine keeper

Didn't mean it was you. I recall a bunch of buyers after that string of games, when he'd hit 575k. So they paid for a guy priced at 44 who has since averaged 37.

But there was also a bunch of silly stuff around Talakai at the time that sucked people in.

He has shown he can score well even without tries, and the Cowboys good draw implies he may keep scoring tries, plus he is more of a POD than Grant and is guaranteed to play this week (Grant might not even back up and he plays so late we won't know until it's too late)

I already have Cook and I think Robson is the second best behind them - I had originally intended to get Cotter back as my 2nd HOK but he's not due back early enough.

Ahh yeah fair enough. I paid 589k for him in round 14 so not ideal, but he did a job over the bye period.

As for Talakai, I luckily got him before the 100 but as we all know I paid a big price for that Very Happy
