Re: The Betting Thread
i was on the roosters as well.
i'm convinced if that long range try in the second half was allowed, the roosters would have won 13+

Re: The Betting Thread
jarryd hayne, i realise many people might not agree with him being selected, but it seems like the path has been set up for him?
"The Fiji Rugby Sevens team reached out to me about the opportunity to join the team for the upcoming Olympics, and I simply could not pass that chance up," he said.
he is paying $4 to be selected
the coach: "I have no promises he is going to make the 12 [for Rio], but we will see how he goes," he said. "He will then come into Fijian camp for the Olympic period.". diplomatic as you'd need to be, but yeah.
Hayne applied for the Fijian passport- through his father’s heritage - a month ago, after discussing the Olympic option with Fijian officials at the Sydney Sevens tournament in early February.

Re: The Betting Thread
anyway, have taken souths -4.5 against hte dragons. i think they continue from where they finished off last week and beat hte dragons by a comfortable margin
other thoughts, cowboys probably beat us & the titans +11.5 looks tempting with peats coming in. not real sure on the rest of the games atm.

It went to a trader when I put my bet on so I doubt it will stay at $3 for long.my tv broke wrote:i threw 100 on it.

Re: The Betting Thread
its for the olympic squad, on sportsbet
the wording is "Jarryd Hayne To Make Final Fiji Olympic Squad In 2016?", so i believe thats the '12'.
the squad in london for this weekend has 14 players including hayne.

Gidday mate, that quote is misleading because it can be read that they "reached out to him" very recently. I posted somewhere else, but said "reach out" was a long time ago. I apologise that I can't recall exactly when but it was either 1 or 3 years ago. My hunch was that it was actually three years ago... Regardless, that makes a lot more sense because a year would have given Hayne enough time to get settled, as it turns out Hayne approached them 3 months ago and then a month ago he applied for his Fiji passport.
Anyway my point is if you understand the timeline I think the odds of him playing at Rio make a bit more sense.
Also, and apologies I can't find the link, but reading the body language of Ben Ryan during his press conference I was less convinced Hayne will play. But thats just my opinion.
