Yup they should but I don't see any value betting on that game.

The weather over there is pretty awful so that makes things a little unpredictable. Also Southland is pretty average but its a bit hit and miss sometimes how much a team will blow the other one out by. Southland is a team that often matches up well with Tarankai, but they have gone through quite a few changes as well.

The game is way too unpredictable for me.

If anything I'd take the under 60.5 thats on offer. tease that up a few points to 66.5 or so and that might be a nice safe bet considering the conditions.

The Under came through easily - weather was pretty average. Did you get on anything Rev?

Opening game: Carolina to win H2H, Carolina -2.5 @ $1.85, and a couple small side bets on Caroline -6.5 @ $2.5 and -9.5 @ $3

I favour offence over D in the opening rounds so this game falls into that category. Also I think Carolina will be well up for this match after what went down last year. Rookie QB for Denv who is a big ?. Newton has Benjamin to throw to this year too.

Most of the money on the H2H, but a bit riding incrementally on the point starts too. Make sure you have it weighted so that your H2H covers the rest should they lose though!

Main bet is on the over - good weather up there tonight and 2 teams that like to attack more than defend. Augustine Pulu is the man too, playing out of sight so expecting a big game from him.

The second is a simple arbitrage bet for those of you with multiple accounts.

Bet Wellington @ $2.38 (William Hill)
and bet counties/draw on multiple bookies @ $1.83 (43% of total funds on option 1 and 57% on option 2) returns ~3%

Doesn't sound like much but if you are able to put down $1000 or so over the season these start to add up and will seriously help to keep you in the positives long term.

h and for anyone betting on the NZ TAB there are a couple specials - take both Counties & Wellington 1st try scorer to be outside backs at $5.5 and $6.5 respectively. Nice little return if it comes through.

Well top point scorer was easy, try scorer wasn't too far off, got the top 4 and still waiting to see how the premiership bet goes. Not to bad all in all.
