I think we’re just tradeaholics here who get fomo. I’ve got 2 left, and my last 2 were sideways / backwards. I also made 2-3 stoooopid trades that were a complete waste (Wishart anyone?) I can see how 5-6 trades left is feasible.

That said, I also think the 4 extra has had the opposite effect for many. They got complacent and used the first allocation and the extra 4 turned up just in time for carnage round.
Yeah, I'll admit it, I've been a trade-whore this year.

Just an article on Aitken being a late out.  I'm not sure this article has any legitimacy in him playing next week though.

Looking into it a bit more, does anyone know where he lives currently, would assume Sydney no?  This game is at Penrith but next week is in NZ.  If he lives in Sydney you think travelling next week would be a stretch, one would think.

Am confused. Why would travelling be a stretch? Doesnt mention why hes out?

Just clutching bro. Trying to connects dots that aren't there. You're right, depending on the reason, travel would more than likely not be related.

Haha, if it makes you feel any better Im 976th and concentrate on H2H so still had kept trades (4) for final rounds carnage, this made the difference last 2 years for victory.

But since I just lost this week by 4 points jokes on me. :-(

1 trade left and 19 green dots

Weakest part of my team is probably 17th man but I can loop 2 of Walsh, Bird, Madden

Getting itchy trigger finger but feel like the smart option is to hold the trade another week

    Hey Holzman,
    Two suggestions:
1: Use MTBs site and you can find out exactly how many trades your opponent has and how much cash in the bank.
2: For a head to head grand final, suggest you watch game by game.  If you’re up, trade one of your players to match one of his.  If you’re behind, trade a common player to create a new difference.

Having said that, you’ve got Mahoney vs Brown up first which is the match up I’d be most worried about.
Thanks i used the site and worked out they have no trades left so it changes it to

    Fifi v Yeo
    Munster v Bird
    Mahoney v Brown
    Tago v S.Fifi

then no cover for him and I have Tonumaipea which will cover anyone but a centre out.

    2. I did want to go game by game but sadly as you said the guy im most worried about is Mahoney and especially in a heads up v Brown. If Brown beats him by alot then im in trouble even with a trade which is what makes it tough.  Assuming no late out definitely think moving on Mahoney is the move that likely gains me the most points.

TU: Mahoney to Nikora/Edwards/SOS/NOS - which one?
    TD: Hold

You're the favourite for mine looking at that. Don't want to jinx it, but Munster vs Bird and Tago vs S. Fifi both look like wins in your favour and Fifi vs Yeo should be close-ish either way.

Having said that, if you're only focussed on H2H and not overall, then there's not really much point holding the trade when you can get someone better than Mahoney.

In that case I quite like SOS vs the Warriors which could easily be a cricket score, should be plenty of attacking stats and TAs on offer for the halves. DEdwards also an option in that case, but you probably want the safer floor from SOS when you're already the favourite. Edwards probably more chance of an early shower too. There's almost an argument for SCrichton who should get plenty of free points just from GK, but that would be a big risk.

Brandon Smith is also an option given his recent form if you want to go that way.

I'd hold, reframe it as Munster v Brown (with Moses playing) and Mahoney v Bird (at centre).

Could even trade D Fifita to S Fifita if you are up going into the last game.

SOS would be my pick if you're desperate, high floor/high ceiling.

Payten doesn't appear keen on resting players heading into the finals.  If he did, wouldn't think Lucy be one of them.

Holding down a slender 72pt lead in the Souths League with the angry men chasing me down, very tempted to burn my last trade, just not sure who could be rested bar Panthers and maybe a few Sharks players next week, problem being Elliott and Taumalolo stinking it up and dropping in value, going to be real hard not to pull the trigger.

    Who would you trade in?

Looking at the 3 teams below you, I reckon you can hold.  You don't have Aitken and you'd think a good chance Yeo gets a rest next week.

Sitting at 5th, I'd love to sneak into the top 3. Last trade getting used on Aitken though.

LS suggesting May and Tago this week because they are playing the Warriors.  Nevermind there's a good chance they get rested next week.....or nevermind Tagos score against them in round 15.

Bird apparently is a definite stay away also.  He cites it would be a different story if he played lock and mentions his 81 from last week.  Does he not realise he played 60 minutes at centre and scored his 2 tries from there because of MBye??

Yeah thats the big Question, I think maybe Yeo and possibly Beans may get a rest next week so probably best to hang onto the trade, was thinking of bringing in Bee Smith as a handcuff for Grant but will be unable to if I wait a week, thought yourself, Pookus and myself would be battling it out, best of luck mate.
