Remember when Edwards was never playing first grade again after he had a dodgy start to the year a couple years back haha!

Tbh im four gins in and listening again and its pretty fun in a weird nu metal way. Fuck it.
The production is incredible which makes up for the fact its somewhat generic stadium rock
You had me at nu metal, may have to listen ahah. Although I imagine it’s not the rapping and DJ form of nu metal. Speaking of post 2010 I remember Atlas being decent

Nah not the fun nu metal haha. Just the awkward generic nu metal riffs.
The heaviest song on the album reminds me a lot of newer Slipknot tbh (song called Soul Bleach)

You’re all a bit too metal for me, more into punk/grunge/gutter rock but did listen to Alice in Chains, Dirt today and it’s both more metal than I remebered and very under rated.

The last Slipknot was their best IMO. Wonderful album. Not digging much of the new stuff though.
For nu metal, Korn will always have a place in my heart.

Indeed. AIC were borderline. Old Soundgarden were very metal too if were talking grunge.

I talk a bit about metal but i listen to all sorts of music tbh. I think i missed much of the grunge era although i did listen to nirvana alot back in the day. Punk comes in many different forms..

Speaking of tunes, there’s been some pretty ordinary ones blasted out at Panthers Stadium tonight

It does indeed….I think I was too old to really get into nu metal and melodic hardcore etc. went more towards stoner rock, psychedelic stuff in the early 2000’s but have very diverse (questionable?) taste.

Interesting how it pans out eh
I was high school in the late 90s so had a lot of local stuff like grinspoon frenzal etc and your slipknot/korn/limp bizkits and then got into hardcore/metalcore in the early 2000s. Always listened to a lot of rap/hip hop too

My Avatar probably reflects what I was really getting into in the late 90’s but going to see Adelaide math rock/hardcore pioneers Mark of Cain at the zoo tomorrow. Have a listen, they are brutal live.

I relate to this. I don't even recognise some of the bands named. I like lot's of things but mostly rock/pop/grunge, but it's rather individual, I'll like some things but not others. I often start my weekend with drinks and a very loud youtube session. Tonight involved Puddle of Mudd (I didn't realise how many songs of theirs I knew) Nirvana unplugged and Foo fighters. And Michael Jackson. I like Michael, but my 7 year old really, really likes Michael (control yourselves). Tries to do all his dance moves. I've been really into Ok Computer again lately. One of the best albums ever (Radiohead). I really like old stuff too, Cream, Beach boys, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Doors, Aerosmith. Can't believe Winfield didn't know Aerosmith. I like classical music too - the classics but also look up the Danish Symphony Orchestra, they do a bunch of cool stuff like movie themes on Youtube.
