This young Genghis fella seems to be able to score a try... against the Dolphins, albeit. Didn't see him at all during the game, outside of the times he was putting the ball down over the line. But seems to me that if he makes the cut for R1 he's probably a better shout than someone like Talau, who is destined to bring misery. And who knows, they probably both will... but 20K saved is 20K saved?

Anyway, enjoyed the footy over the weekend. Still going to leave most of it untouched until TLT, but I'd call it an interesting information gathering weekend.

I do hope the Dolphins won't be as dreadful as they suggested they could be tonight.

Even with the dodgey Dolphins edge defence, Khan showed he can move. 20m out he's a threat. Broken play, threat. A trial is a trial but Foran and Fermor on his inside is only a positive imo.

Can anyone tell me who had awesome PPM or scores today. Please don't include AKP as he won’t be repeating that anytime soon!

With Trials over I've finally drafted my first team for the year, thought Id wait this year instead of pointlessly spending time during preseason chopping and changing players around. Ill make post TLT updates based on selections but if all goes as expected this will be the team I roll out with round 1.

    Grant
    Tapine Cheese Nicholls
    EKatoa Hosking
    Doueihi (C)leary
    Alamoti Thompson
    Turbo Miller Sloan(Loop)

    Boyd Hopgood Uto Ford
TMM Perham Doorey Luke 45K ITB

Is Luke just a placeholder? Warbrick looks a must to me if chosen. You don’t loop at 13, you loop at 17. Not sure Katoa will score much more than Loiero. Can you beef up the 2nd FRF? Cheese’s DPP will be far more handy in your 14-17. I can’t see Sloan doing much in Fantasy so I went BMM instead. Good luck!

    I’m starting with x3 230’s and x3 250’s. Is that too many?

Yes I wouldn’t go above 5 at most. Ideal number is 4 but you could get away with 5. Currently I have Warbrick, Alamoti, Doorey, BMM and HSS/Talau.

You loop at 13 between the two WFBs with Sloan. Because his team isn't playing at all he can also be moved throughout the round between 13 and 17 for more elaborate loops if the first one doesn't come off.

Yes AKP is my 6th and first one out pending TLT! I wasn’t planning on starting with him, but hopefully he can gain some value and not get dropped before Rd 5 at least.

5 will be popular, 4 in emg and Alamoti starting ctr. Then if you start Warbrick and have AKP in your emg that will be 6.

Been wanting to minimise base price players but also currently have five. Alamoti, Warbrick and Doorey I think everyone will have if they're named to start on TLT. Then either Talau or HSS for the NPRs plus one of the Dragons loopers, although not sure about those, maybe something else will turn up.

He looked good and has been on my watch list for a while. I think I’m a real game the bigger threat is Jayden Campbell to his minutes. Campbell on at fb Brunson to the halves Boyd to hooker. Just my thoughts on it so as people have said at 613k difficult to justify him.

My worry is that I end up butchering my team mid-round to use both Sloan and BMM in a PhD loop that gains me 8 points but leaves me two total dud cows leading into Round 2.

I've 7 cheapies and no cash. Warwick, Alamoti, HSS in the 17, 4 on the bench. One of them probably Doorey. Ambitious much?
