Similar thoughts about Kenny. Worse case he gets 50/55 minutes and scores 35 and plods himself to some 5 points value and decent early bench scoring, best case he's playing 65-80 and scoring 40-45 and 10-15 points of value

    Way i'm seeing it

Yeah, in the past week there has been some more interest. I've got him on the bench as a money maker & scorer in the 17.

There’s enough hooker value to have booze entertained if it weren’t for the new rules. Apart from the obvious people have mentioned Kenny and egan but are missing Liddle. Averages 51 in games over 60 minutes and I find it hard to see him getting less then that even with Mbye on the bench. Then there’s every chance Mbye ends up playing 80 in another position at some point and they don’t have another first grade hooker on the books that I can see.

I really do wonder how these grubby reporters still manage to have anyone willing to speak to them. Boyd had the right idea

Would explain the absence, The wifes old man has bipolar and no joke.

Got some pretty good stories about him, funny now looking back but scary at the time.

    Fkn grub Danny Weidler.

At least Angus is getting professional help and now the rumours can stop.

Manly sensation Kaeo Weekes will be named as the Sea Eagles’ super sub in the season opener but he is in no rush to make a call on future.

Weekes will take over the role vacated by Warriors recruit Dylan Walker with his pre-season form proving too hard for coach Anthony Seibold to ignore.

Cronulla are putting together the final pieces of their star-studded backline after flyer Sione Katoa agreed to a new three year deal to remain at the club.

The Sharks have been busy ensuring their backline is locked in long-term with Katoa joining Ronaldo Mulitalo (until the end of 2025) and Siosifa Talakai (end of 2026) to agree to new deals during the off-season.

The Sharks remain in talks with fullback Will Kennedy and centre Jesse Ramien after having the bizarre circumstance where their entire starting back five was off-contract at once.

Cronulla are also in discussions about extending back-rower Teig Wilton – whose deal ends at the end of this season – and are keen to lock-down Nicho Hynes long-term despite his contract not expiring until the end of next year.

Katoa has become a noted try-scorer for the Sharks having crossed 39 times in his past 48 games. He had his first taste of representative football last year after making his debut for Tonga at the World Cup.

    More of this Pls !

    Hope ur well mate.

Its definitely a controversial take. I guess different styles come into play as well. Obviously Egan doesnt have the explosiveness as robson or cheese. Out of those though I would have Egan Robson and JBrailey in the tier below the grants of the world. I think its Egan's craftyness and ruck control/manipulation which stands out

    I appreciate the insight.
I didn't see much of his games last year, although recall he was well rated as a junior at Penrith - in particular his game awareness.
I will definitely make a point of watching him a bit more closely next time I catch a Warriors game.

It comes across as fairly insincere when they wish him and his family well, yet you get the distinct impression they've been harranging his family for "the inside scoop" and probably stalking gus as well.

It's good he's at the Roosters who seem a very close and tight ship these days

Weidlers relationship with the club and Angus would be fairly symbiotic on this I’d think. Otherwise he would’ve reported stuff in late Dec in a code in crisis, players behaving badly way

Why not just leave the bloke alone? I dare say we care a hell of a lot more here about him then the average person and the only reason he’s being spoken about now is because Weidler brought him up. Seems the media in general is trying to do the right thing but he does this shit.

I’d say it’s damage control. Rumours everywhere. Orchestrated by the club to stay ahead of it. Nobody on the media crosses Politis

    Latest fox news team predictions

If you want to believe their info, the most interesting difference to the consensus we'd have is Suia Wong starting for the roosters
They also have Turuva and Staines taking wing spots people would be hoping cheapies get

the topic of mental health is a tough one, but keeping everything private isn't always the answer. it should be up to the individual (ie if crichton is ok for the news to be out there, then put the news out there). there is still a fair bit of stigma around mental health and actually putting it out there (again, when the person is comfortable) goes a long way to help others who may be struggling in silence. it is a genuine illness, there isn't really any reason not to report it as such.

ultimately if someone is going to miss nrl then rumours will swirl, such are people and society. better to just get the truth out there.

That might be where the McLean rumour came from. He'd play wing if Turuva is fullback (or centre with Crichton fullback if Penrith are idiots.) Would put big question on McLean's job security if Turuva also in starting 13.
