Obviously there’s some risk but Milne is a bit of an overrated NRL player and a liability for discipline

You either pick Thompson and risk it R1 or don’t pick I think because spending a trade on CTR in R2 is a bit odd

With Souths average bench, could Milne slot in FWDs

The risk/reward is too badly skewed for my taste

I'm worried about his scoring being shit. Especially if he goes a game or 2 without a try

I'm tossing up between Thompson and HSS, and think I'd rather save the ~70k at this stage. Who is HSS actually at risk of getting replaced by? Is it just Savage - due back round 8 according to casualty ward?

Never a good sign when the teams star player isn't named with a chance of playing this week and a late out, often means they aren't close to being right.

I am going with Trindall, upside potential is amazing if he is out a few weeks or either Moylan or Kennedy were unavailable for any reason, I would expect him to be first cab off the rank.
Update from NRL Physio (from Monday)

"Fitzy will decide what's best for me. I was off my feet today to give it an extra day, but we'll see how we go tomorrow"

So in summary who knows at this point unfortunately! The guys I'd heard from were pretty adamant it wasn't great, but either way this is a situation of too much uncertainty for my liking. Sharks starting to rival the Roosters for injury smoke & mirrors!

It’s Thompson’s spot over Milne imo. He got it late last year and only lost it due to injury.

Interestingly Milne wasn’t anywhere to be seen in 2nd trial despite suspended players being named in other trials (Matterson, May)

With Alamoti and HSS less risk of losing their role, is it even worth taking the punt on Thompson? Could just chuck Talau in the 18-21 to cover any unexpected changes, or even Hunt.

I have hunt, Alamoti and HSS as a rotating cast of budget centres

Going with Alamoti and hunt this weekend as slightly prefer their fixtures, can see cowboys towelling raiders in Townsville

Yeah that seems the obvious thing to me. Alamoti, HSS and Talau haven't left my team. Regardless of if Thompson has good job security I'd rather just go cheaper.

Meanwhile Talau is now my only CTR and WFB cover following TLT which I'm not thrilled about but might go with it. Will probably need to give To'o a miss and go Meaney so I don't need to worry about cover for To'o rd3.

Imagine you took the 4th best fullback from the Sharks and moved him to a worse team so you could play Ponga out of position.

Play style is Jayden Campbell hero ball but probably has more speed

Made a team very late last night

    Bits I still don’t like

    - Feels a gun short but there is a lot of value around in the midrange
    - Cotter as 2nd gun mid. Stats and draw says yes, gut says no.
    - MID 3 - Sutton. Wary picking up forwards on the assumption they get a larger slice of the rotation pie due to an injury. Alternative is Wallace, or start a DPP and do Hodgson or something like that?
    - WFB is gross, like none of it
    - Talau over Thompson at #21 saves 69k nice but seems like a cowards move
    - Starting both Storm edge
    - Starting neither Eels edge

Aside from those 8 or 9 things I’m pretty happy tho

Also are people starting Warbrick or just in EMG?

Is anyone giving him a pass over job security?

I tossed up the idea of having Sloan at 3WFB and having a free look at Warbrick-TMM-Talau.
I'm starting Warbrick as I don't want Sloan anywhere near my team.

Well I made a team, added all the cheapies that look good. Added the guns that look good. Filled the rest out. And it looks like everyone elses.

not even running usually isn't good news for a return in a weeks time from a soft tissue injury, is it?

I obviously don't know if it was just the day of the quote that he was 'off his feet.'
