    Grant
    Tapine, Hass, Carrigan
    Fifita, E.Butcher
    Doueihi, Boyd
    Alamoti, Thompson
    Warbrick, Miller, Talau

    Cheese, Hopgood, E.Katoa, Ford
    Preston, Trindall, I.Katoa, HSS

Yes, I am ridiculously cheap and shallow in the backs but I can't get past the security and high scoring potential of my MID/EDG. Fifita looks fit and ready to go. Love the idea of having him as a POD.
No Cleary, Murry or Cook so I will be Captaining one of Grant or Haas...
HSS in Emergency as WFB/Ctr cover (via Talau and Thompson). Keen to see how these guys play out. Happy to drop Thompson/Miller after 1-2 weeks if they look like duds and there is a cheaper option available.
This will also help with my eventual plan of bringing in Cleary or Hynes (injury dependent) for Doueihi for Rd 4 (after Panthers bye).
Bank Trindall once Hynes returns (fingers crossed it's more 3-4 weeks - calves are niggly)!
That along with my other cash outs will hopefully allow me to bring in Turbo shortly after the Manly bye.
Then set and forget until SOO and ride the cashies!!  rabbit

Sounds great in theory, never gonna be that easy but im happy with the risk reward strategy.

Another option could be to downgrade Grant to Hodgson to free up cash but I honestly don't know much about Hodgson (other than that he's old/older and returning from injury).
Any thoughts or insights into why the Eels Hooker might be a good option as a cashie and low end gun?

Trindall is a waste outside your 17. You are looking for free points for a short time and cash upside.

Trindall only gets 1 week at Half right? or is Hynes injury more serious?

Manly bye in round 2 but maybe Tuilagi is actually the one to have.

    Awesome lists.

Largely agree, somehow have Ford but trying to back it out.

Who are your starting WFBs and cover for Turbo?

First two WFB locked in as Ponga and Turbo. Both are capable of matching the big dogs for 100k and 200k less

3rd slot is currently TMM. Gives a nice base and some halves depth. There is a chance this slot becomes CNK

Coverage is Warbrick and Talau. Warbrick should have a good base and on the end of a great attacking team. Talau I think will be improved coming off injury and should increase base playing at centre but not expecting him to set the world on fire

Good spot, i've been struggling to find much in that damn EDGE spot. haha.

Flying under the radar, he was a gun scorer when he was on the pitch last year.

    TU: Val Holmes and Garner
TD: David Fifita and either Thompson or HSS

I really want Fifita but not sure I want to weaken CTR to do it.

With the addition of Foran, Boyd there to feed him as well with AJ again, and a contract year.. gut feel is screaming get him in

First draft had him in but can't really do it.....definitely a target once one of those mid rangers starts to peak (and the Titans bye has passed)

Not sure why you’d plan to sell Doueihi for Cleary/Hynes given 60 average at 5/8
Would be better off planning EButcher maybe to time with bye

Good call. If AD is as good as I'm hoping, I might be better of bringing in Cleary/Hynes to partner him. Definitely no shortage of EDG stocks.
Will see how Butcher goes. I think he could be a lock at least until Gus returns which sounds like it will be Rd 10 earliest. E.Katoa might be the better cashout option depending on how things play out.

i'd want to make sure Holbrook is done looking for reasons to take Fifi of the field before putting him in my team, games of 47 and 58 minutes to end last season.

As long as he's playing 80 minutes every week he's easily worth having, averaged 62 last year playing 80 on the edge, his average is tanked by his lower minute games and a game at centre.

The only threat to him on that Titans bench is Stimson who despite being a Former Storm Superstar and 2018 Grand Finalist, is probably not taking any mins off him or if any, not more than 10 or so.

King Assassin wrote:I currently have I.Katoa in my 18-21, I have Boyd on the bench so I'm not desperate for half cover. I also have 108k ITB.
    Which is my best option?
    a) Upgrade Katoa to a a close to base price forward (Blore, Saulo, Keppie)
    b) Run with Katoa and bank the cash
    c) Run with Katoa and upgrade Wilton or Garner to Eutcher
d)Upgrade Katoa to TMM (who might not even score more but it slightly safer)

108k is the perfect amount imo. Option b or c. Personally leaning EButcher and Katoa over Garner and Wilton, so probably c, but the others should go okay if you prefer.

With only Stimson on that bench as a potential threat to his mins, I think he's pretty safe at least initially.

Fifita bye is a bit annoying when the alternative is carrigan who has no byes any time soon
