Regarding Wayde Egan, Walker is on the bench and Lussick is still in the 21

I really really rate Egan, I think he's quite underrated, but would be too much of a gamble for me

Walsh getting a lot of love, but what are people expecting?

He loses goalkicking, and also had a bunch of general play kicks that will surely happen less whilst Reynolds is in the team.

His 2021 average of 48 included 3 points of goal kicking, 6 points of general play kicking, and 3 tackle busts per game which are no worth 1 less point.
1 offload a game which could be a couple extra points

So are people just expecting more attacking points now that he's at a better club? Or will he retain enough of those stats to still present a bunch of value?

Pretty sure it's literally only MTB considering Walsh.

Does a potential 80 minute Tohu playing lock excite anyone?

    1. Robbo stated that the goal is for Smith to play close to 80 if possible, but Turpin (Hutcho) is there to cover if needed.
    2. Smith's 60+ minute starting HOK games he averages 56.
    3. Smith is priced at 40.

He's as easy a lock in your team as Hopgood. Don't see a point in trying to anti-pod him. If he does good, and you don't have him, you're immediately behind. If he does bad, everyone has him and you can curse him together

Anti-Pod is overrated. Rather have a guy do bad once and have to trade him out then be behind.

    Lock him in.

Considering passing on Garner to start and seeing how he goes in the first two rounds (Panthers bye round 3). If he's doing well and is hitting around that 40 mark easily, I'll likely jump on the train in round 4. If he's not doing great and/or getting 40 but through lots of attacking stacks (that are unsustainable) then maybe I'll give him a miss. Would let me start a guy like Doorey for much less, and instead upgrade elsewhere to an out-and-out gun.

    Katoa for sure...

I have settled on Kris as a short term 6 to 8 week solid scoring DPP CTR/WFB

Just makes the balance of team so much better. He averaged close to 40 in 80 minute games last year. It is a gut feel but I reckon he can do better at FB - especially with Levi distributing the ball Razz

I just now have the recognition with D-Day approaching that DPP in WFB/CTR is gonna be so important for bye rounds. It is hard enough to cover all spots as it is and Miller and Mitchell already are in single position spots

My team post-TLT, somehow managed to keep NAS and Val while still getting Egan Butcher back in, but it is a bit risky to say the least. NAS as mentioned in the past is a short term play with the goal to flip him for Turbo in round 3-5

    $2k bank

    Cheese
    Muz, Haas, NAS
    E Katoa, Loiero
    Cleary, Doueihi
    Holmes, Alamoti
    Miller, TMM, Warbrick

Hopgood, E Butcher, Boyd, T May

    I Katoa, Preston, Talau, AKP

One player who looked good to me in preseason and now named on bench is Grant Anderson 250k mid,

Not selecting him, but I’m interested in seeing his minutes off the bench

Some very good or intruiging ideas around today, it's heating up.

Are the BE's right to go on footystats as they are ?

    Don't.

That just sounds like it is a disaster. You will end up like MF praying it pays off.

Also without Papenhuyzen in 2021 he averaged 54 points, and 2022 59.8 points

While with Papenhuyzen there he averaged 63.3 points in 2021 and 64.9 points in 2022.

So I would worry he starts off slower as well without Paps too add attacking value.

I can see parallels between Walsh of 2023 and Hynes of 2022.
Not that Walsh will be top scoring fantasy player this year, more just the vibe around improved scores.

there are always players that have break out seasons that can't be backed up with stats in pre-season.

look at IPAP's move to the eels for example.

there'll be someone we're all missing.
