Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 8 - Hopgod!
HELP NEEDED! Current team construction allows me to use sloan to get Carty's score. However I have to bank on Perham to outscore Warbrick, who I was originally scouting with the sloan loop. 1st of all do i do this? and 2nd of all out of Uto and Ford and Garner, who should I put in my emergencies to get Carty's score?

FYI the 4 at CTR was in 17 minutes, although that is nitpicking as he definitely does a crap score in him
I think the reasoning that Tigers improving as a team will lead to better scores is not a bad one. And even if he does have the odd crap one, as long as its surrounded by 30s he'll be OK.
Can you name a better CTR for cheap, assuming everyone has Alamoti already. The only other competition is Smith-Shields and even then I imagine for most Talau owners he is 3rd choice behind both of those 2.
Regardless Talau will likely leave my team today as I bring Bird in.

Any chance Katoa could be goal kicking? Was first choice for Tonga and kicked over 80% at the World Cup.

You must have a lot of faith in the Dolphins scoring some points mate.
Nevertheless would be a nice little bonus.

Go for it. But don't drop Garner. Uto or Ford are the ones.
What do you think the worst case score for Perham is? if you don't think he can go close to 29 then he probably shouldn't be in your team

Even the worst teams kick a couple of goals a week.

Talau is outside Douehi, while he did put him over for a try in the trials, he is a noted ball hog.Milchcow wrote:

Also note that in addition to the single digits there are tonnes of teen scores. For me, grabbing Ponga for the chance to go boom early compared to having to run Talau in round 1 to have Walsh was a no brainer.

Low I would imagine given Isaako has a similar % based on 5 years in the NRL

Here is a fun one for you Mr Cow
UTO + Garner with a KFP/Preston/230k
Sutton + Trindall with Ford as an NPR
Top is slow long term cash and better job security vs bottom is riskier but more cash

I like Uto + Garner plus guess the right cow (although I guess you are too short on cash to extend that cow to Trindall)
Sutton and Ford have potential but my concerns are Sutton will hover around just short of what you want, and I worry about Ford's long term ability to hold out Josh Curran
It wouldn't be a major surprise to me if they both went well though
I guess if truth be told I am a little worried about Uto as well. Praying for those extra 5-10 minutes can go wrong so often

Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 8 - Hopgod!
Worried about Uto myself but he is in my team just due to being the only real option at his price bracket and provides some mid cover that I need. I guess even if he only gets 40 minutes, which seems reasonable, he should still score close to 40.
The alternative I'm considering is doing Fifita & Uto to Butcher & Bird but I'm pretty keen on Fifita (I didn't get burned by him last year though so maybe I'm asking for trouble)
