Who loses? Doorey or Carty? Despite fantasy scores, Doorey was good. Hopefully Carty has made some money by then though (I have him, in fact both)

Well done to the three coaches in the autofill league who captained HopGod.

Played 2 of my 5 $250k players in my 17 for an average of 42.5, (I have 4 more in 18-21) and still on track with 224/4 (Hopgood and NAS coming through with a decent 53 first up).

An encouraging thing about Cartwright was his ball running, had some strong carries in the second half. He's only eclipsed 140 MG on two occasions for the Eels and one of those was tonight.

    Hopgood was unreal
King might be this years Ofa
Katoa with a rocks and diamonds performance after being dreadful in the first half and almost getting hooked.
    Loiroa a silent achiever
Harry Grant with the last minute 20 point play
The Carty Party might be back

Busy start to the round, Hopgood,Katoa,Loiero,Moses,Warbrick,Carty
    309/6

Had Carty in 18th spot with Bird (NPR) sitting in 17th as had a feeling he may go alright
He looks trimmed down a lot this year and still has an offload.
Not a perfect game from him but he cut down on some of his errors from last year and made his tackles

Both will eventually once lane and matterson come back but Carty likely goes back to the bench

I am fine if Carty gets 3 x 80 minute games average 50, with a massive negative BE, then 3 games of 50 minutes off the bench for a 30 average - some for Matterson, some for Doorey maybe. Makes $150k in the first 3 rounds, then some more the next 3 rounds before trading him out. Maybe $250kish total. Hurts Doorey a lot when Lane is back.

    284/5
    Harry,Katoa,How good, Meaney and Warbrick.

Would've been nice for Meaney to have his last shot at goal.

Better hope there is no dud cows with all these planned trades

Going back to this post from the last thread.

Without any sarcastic answers - is it crazy to have some sort of bye strategy in mind? Should people just assemble a team without considering byes at all? Just wait until round 8 and have a bit of a think about origin?

If you are interested in Bird as premium CTR, does it make more sense to have him from the start, or to have a think about how to get him in?

Yeah he got no ball in attack and still got to 29, I'll take that any day of the week. All he needs is one game with attack and that'll get the rises going quick.

But they were supposed to go to that side all night?

Given your predictions for Carty before, you must be over the moon with his 55pts this week

Unless he smashes it for the next month, Carty is unlikely to be fantasy useful when both Lane and Matterson are playing. Doorey looks to be preferred longer term (although its of course possible for Carty to play his way into the team - but does Brad Arthur overvalue offloads to hand and turnover tackles as much as Fantasy does?)
