Also didn't get a single positive stat outside of tackles and run meters. No TB, no TO, no LB, nothin.
Very pleased with that.

Yeah, but as a centre we probably already knew that deep down!wolfking wrote:Alamoti a dud too.

I definitely consider under 20 points a fail.
So 40 points is the minimum I consider acceptable from my 2 cheap centres. Aiming for 50+. 60+ would make me happy

The Dogs need a half back. We haven’t had a good half back for about 10 years and look what happens.superbucks wrote:
Yea, some of it was fundamental half stuff. E.g., passing to Kikau on the 5th in your own half when he should've kicked long. Burton has to take responsibility.

Talau is coming back from an ACL. Not ideal as a centre. But should get better as the season goes on.
The glass half full in me sees this and thinks Alamoti scoring only 7 points less than Burton is brilliant as my starting centre! I’ll just ignore the actual score!mattnz wrote:Burton 22, Kikau 18, Alamoti 15, JAC 21, Perham 23 tells a story, and not Alamoti's fault on debut.

No matter how crap Canterbury look The Guru and his sponsors just love that club.rhinoceroo wrote:

The only thing is I can't see Burton getting much better than today - he looked a bit out of sorts. Kikau was just overcooked. Perham seems standard. Alamoti hopefully goes seeking the ball a bit - big body sniffing around would be a plus for the dogs.
