10 points in demerits as well, probably on the high end.

Also didn't get a single positive stat outside of tackles and run meters. No TB, no TO, no LB, nothin.

    Very pleased with that.

Yeah, but as a centre we probably already knew that deep down!

Yea, some of it was fundamental half stuff. E.g., passing to Kikau on the 5th in your own half when he should've kicked long. Burton has to take responsibility.

So after this game and the second trial do people still think Gus is a genius? I bet Ciraldo wishes he was still on the bus!

The worst game I've ever seen Burton play.

I definitely consider under 20 points a fail.

So 40 points is the minimum I consider acceptable from my 2 cheap centres. Aiming for 50+. 60+ would make me happy

It’s about picking which two to play. My gut tells me I’m likely to get 25 from Talau than I do from HSS playing in north QLD.

Burton 22, Kikau 18, Alamoti 15, JAC 21, Perham 23 tells a story, and not Alamoti's fault on debut.

Averages 0.8 TBs, 0.1 LBs and 0.3 OF in games over 50 mins so I think you’re very much getting a Tolman type player

If Talau can look promising this week, he's definitely getting the start ahead of Alamoti in my team, as he has the Knights while Alamoti has the Storm and will be running at Victorian Superstar Yee-Huang Tonumaipea

The Dogs need a half back. We haven’t had a good half back for about 10 years and look what happens.

Talau is coming back from an ACL. Not ideal as a centre. But should get better as the season goes on.

Yeah I know, but he's had 15 months off so plenty of time to get right, and looked at least alright in the trials. The bar isn't super high given how meh Alamoti was.

Alamoti was my only player in that game, and I dropped 5000 live ranks

    Probably mostly Trbo

The glass half full in me sees this and thinks Alamoti scoring only 7 points less than Burton is brilliant as my starting centre! I’ll just ignore the actual score!

The only thing is I can't see Burton getting much better than today - he looked a bit out of sorts. Kikau was just overcooked. Perham seems standard. Alamoti hopefully goes seeking the ball a bit - big body sniffing around would be a plus for the dogs.

Just watch almost any game from last year and you'll see Burton going better than today

Gus makes me think he is genius in a similiar way that I think Jabba the Hut is a genius
