I don't mind the second option.

    Garner + Talau.

    You like walsh and carty?

Thompson does allow Alamoti to go to NPRs, and would play Warbrick at wfb

If i get walsh, its alamoti at ctr with no ctr cover.

I didnt actually see Thompson play so beyond a stat sheet im not sure what hes likely to keep doing

Its probably unrealistic to think walsh can go more  than 40s without gk and good kick metres. Its a fun pick though

Alternative to wilton could be anyone under his price..

Safe to say that Thompson will make a lot of metres and score no long range tries.

I really have no idea what trades to make this week.

Will play Talau over Alamoti, Tigers v Knights has a chance to be fairly high scoring.
Playing Loiero over Sutton this week in reserves.

Last chance saloon for Tino unless there’s a slam dunk downgrade but not sure there is

I just lean towards the Wilton option out of the two. Thompson didn't look too bad out there, definitely no long range tries as rhino stated already.

Thompson, lots of run meters, has them consistently in each game he has played, lots of TBs, dropped the ball a couple of times, one when over the line, should have scored, another when he had open space and should have scored again. Could easily have put up a 50+ with a bit of luck. Looks like the Crichton / Tago / May guy that everyone realises they should have had with hindsight at the start of last season.

A huge upgrade on what we have seen from Alamoti in the game last week and wasn't impressive at all in trials, highly regarded, but we haven't seen anything from him yet. Not sure he is the guy getting the ball in a back line where he is next to Kikau and JAC.

You may want to review your team structure if you have Sutton, but not playing him, but are playing Talau.

If it was my team I would be looking at an upgrade at CTR or WFB ahead of other positions to balance the playing squad.

Also, Thompson isn't guaranteed a spot in that rabbitohs side. Milne has been picked in front of him. Why would that change when he's back?

Milne has been named in the NSW cup side.

i would very much like to get thompson, latrell is lazy, he wil shuffle the ball to thompson for running metres, thomposon will accrue soft tbs, the right side attack is looking better and if ilias continues he'll put one or two on a plate for him,

plus he is an upgrade on all the cheap centres, unfortunatley i cannot get him this week and may well miss the boat, (last season i had no tago or may so just one of those things)

I'm gonna keep Cheese for 1 more week to see how he goes. I want to get rid of TMM tho so I'm thinking someone cheap Blore, Chee Kam or maybe this Jack Johns depends how long Elliot is out

Yeah that’s a fair assessment. What would you do with this lot as it stands and 166k? Talau to Thompson?

    Hodgson
    Tino, Carrigan, Welch
    Butcher, Katoa
    Cleary, Trindall
    HSS, Talau
    Ponga, Miller, Warbrick

    Cheese, Hopgood, Boyd, Loiero
    Sutton, Uto, Doorey, Alamoti

Move Boyd to HLF, Trindall to 18th man and Sutton in to the 17. Look at Doorey or Uto in the next week or so to upgrade CTR - you could do that now though (Hammer or Thompson)

Not sure how you feel about Cheese, but could trade him to Bird (or other performing CTR). You are getting more points, as Sutton can score as well as Cheese, and you are getting an upgrade at CTR by maybe 30 points. You have enough cover at both HOK and MID.

I might be crazy but double cow Thompson + Cartright leaving 250k in the bank to deal with the next few weeks doesnt look too bad.

Wilton is a reasonably proven scorer in 80 mins.. but carty could smash the cash out if he gets 3 or 4 more games starting (would be gambling on matto returning as a mid).

Slightly indifferent towards Cheese, injury cloud and bye coming up means I probably won’t miss him until he does something Cheeselike and scores twice against the Warriors this weekend.

Cheers for the thoughts guys, something to ponder

Should make 100k+ even with two games and a couple of negative BE bench scores? (Next minute Carty with an 11 missed tackles 14 to stall price rises)

Thinking of Egan and Preston to Ford and Carty plus $150k in the bank.

Would like to keep Egan but don’t have any cash to trade a dud newbie to anyone

Thats my plan. Nothing has changed from last week. He was an offloading beast in the trial as well, so looks like they could be a decent part of his scoring each week.

Had 7 missed tackles, could be pushing for a banner on his day.
