Clearly to Robson for me next week before the week ensues. He'll be a gun HOK and Boyd slots into halves until after Sammy Walkers bye.

Cleary just seems off the pace and is going to drop a couple hundy

I want to do something similar but Murphy's Law is very much a thing, if you sell Cleary he'll smash out a 100 in round 4 just to spite you personally.

    Frustrating for Blore (and owners)

Seems like Bateman is getting the Hynes treatment around severity of injury being obfuscated. Could potentially have been in line for a decent run in the team but just seems to be one of those guys unlucky with injury

    Shhhh.
    Robson sucks etc. etc.
    He won't play 80 mins.
Granville is on the bench. Avoid.

Haha I feel you but I just don't think Cleary has that in him at the moment. I'm happy to let him go, lock in a gun HOK and see how he goes. I currently have Cheese and Boyd as my HOK's, so it feel's like there's merit to the move for composition

    Lastly:
273 teams ranked outside the top 10,000 in round 1 were able to finish inside the top 1000 at seasons end.

So, less than 3% outside the top 10k last year managed to make it into the top 1k.

Not saying that this necessarily projects forwards to this year, but that's pretty sobering.

I guess it underlines the point of making sure your start doesn't have any howlers, rather than trying too hard to get an edge...

the last couple of years i've taken a more patient approach e.g. tino f. the start of last season when i held & he did shite so i'm going back to how i used to play the game by being aggressive with trades. sure if tedesco goes large i may keep but atm their pack in rd 1 didn't provide the front foot ball for tedesco & the backs. if this persists in rd 2 i will sell tedesco.

    Confused by this?

It reads to me like 27.3% of the top 1000 was made up of teams that started from outside 10,000th

Some of the reactions to Smith have been wild. Feel like some people have lost their minds a bit (I'm talking more some of the fantasy podcasts, not calling out anyone specific on here).

The narrative has been that he 'didn't get the role we wanted', completely ignoring that he had an HIA, Radley and Lodge both went off injured, AND Robbo telegraphed that he wouldn't play 80 straight away. It's like people wanted him to be a bad buy and are looking for any reason to justify it. So weird.

If ever there was a case of wait and see. Hope he does what Garner did last night to those who sold.

Yeh I dunno, for me it’s not about roles, he was a late in for me before round 1 because the crowd was quite convincing and I rolled with them, but after doing further research this week, I’m taking him out because I think he’ll be perfectly mediocre as a fantasy scorer, he was one of the players that benefited greatly from the pace of vlandysball and I think people hoping for a return to the ‘tries are base stats’ 2021 version of Cheese will be left wanting, I have no doubt he’ll have big games, but I’m confident in thinking that he’ll sit under a 50 avg until/unless Turpin dissappears from the line-up

TBH I was tossing up Egan Butcher vs Cheese before round one and went with the latter. I'm happy to hold him until the Roosters bye (if he plays).

Sell him if you want to but as someone just said...a lot of these podcast guys have just as much difficulty differentiating their arse from their elbow as most of us have. Just because they roll out multiple over complicated spreadsheets doesn't mean their decisions or recommendations are going to be any better. The resources made available by Mich, MTVB & Ynot are all you need (plus your own peepers and brain).

I have actually found an inverse relationship between the amount of info I have taken onboard and my own results as the years go by Very Happy Very Happy
