Looking at Round 12 players, do you use most of your cash to bring in Round 12 players you consider as keepers such as A.Milford, B.Hunt, J.Graham etc ( it's not easy to see who you would even sell to get these players in ) or would you still look at money makers such as W.Matthews and L.Bateman, who both look like they're about to make some good money.
With trades becoming a premium now, I suppose bringing in only keepers now would be best, but you're in such a good position that it makes for a very tough decision.
The best of luck with whichever way you go.

I will go the keeper approach, so essentially eliminates the double trade for Origin as they will stay in the team permanently.
Due to trading early I will probably miss out gambling on players like Taylor and what players you mentioned above but feel I generated enough cash early.
This should counter that fact I made so many trades early, but if I hadn't I would be playing massive catch up (You can't pick when cows become available)

Aubo,Gutherson,Holland,Grant,Parcell are all juicy (or close to it) and will go out eventually so there is 5 trades there.

Cartwright,Merrin will be swapped for reliable scorers or bye friendly options = JGraham/JBromwich

Barba will sit tight for Tedesco to come back and be a straight swap

Hastings/Norman their is no real urgency there

So looking at 8 definite trades. Balance will be left for injuries

    Trades Round 11

    DCE
Great scorer with most being in base stats, had him earlier in the year before his extended injury so banking on him coming back into form.
For someone who is out of form, he is still averaging 50 so due some good games.

    Joey Leilua
Cash out option for Aubo, Loves to break a tackle and is in great form. Has decent byes, a low BE and low ownership so a POD

I'm looking to get both those players straight after round 12 along with T.Harris and J.Bromwich.
I thought with Parcell having a BE of just 36, I'd wait the one more week to sell him.

I'm looking to strengthen my centre spot so I went B.Barba------>J.Croker. I think Barba has peaked and he doesn't play rounds 12 or 15 and he is not a keeper to me so he's good to go and I see Croker as a keeper for my centre spot.
I know you've got Barba waiting to trade with Tedesco when ready, have you looked at selling Aubusson for who you consider a centre keeper like Croker, Leulua or even E.Aitken. That will give you another round 12 player and help you keep some funds up your sleeve to do what I'm going to do straight after round 12 and that's T.Grant-------->J.Bromwich.
Those are 2 great trades and we are all looking to do that very soon and it is probably a great idea while you do have the funds available but I hope you don't mind, I just thought I'd share another option for you to ponder.

Going back to  one of my original trades and going with my gut on the other, was undecided but looking at overall byes I will take the hit on round 12.
Will assess once Origin teams are named, Friend was always coming in and the spare money can be used on upgrades

Aitken can always come in later but feels quite wasteful to trade barba just to gain an extra week or so and Aitken only to end up on the bench later (if Harris gets DPP).
That money sitting there could be better used on say upgrading Hastings/Norman later on depending if they keep their average up, so not a wasted trade.

    Thanks again

With more talk of Holland  not playing (having to make way for Stanley), Harris not getting DPP (due to Morgan making his debut) and Hastings getting dropped I am making the following trades.

    Aubo - Leilua
    Hastings - DCE

So roll them dice, I am all in

Looking forward to seeing Leilua punch out a big score back in my home town of New Plymouth who will have their first ever NRL game played there.

Hopefully BJ goes well for you mate because Aitken at his price looks a steal atm in comparison to paying overs for BJ!

Sometimes you have to pay for a ....... Leilua

Hindsight is a bitch and I can't look back in regrets.
Will be interesting to see where they both finish up or if Harris will ever get his DPP (though keeps his ownership down)

    Round 11 Results

So another week has gone and i am sitting here on the eve of Origin TLT.
Slightly gutted not to get another straight 900 week but overall it could have been much worse and saved by a few scores.
Again goes to show the importance of a strong captain

My trade in's were a mixed bag, DCE banged out his best score of the season so far the week I bring him back in and hardly did anything so thats good.
Leilua had an average game where he made a few mistakes so he was less tempted to offload due to them (and the wet night) but scored a try.
Can't complain too much as he saves me a trade this week which I will badly be needing all 3, and Aitken comes in regardless so no real loss other than the points missed out.

Could have been worse, Jake Friend was due to come in and ended up losing cash. By holding Parcell he gained some more ground on him too so a Win there as well.

So after this slightly empty feeling i still somehow managed to gain 31 places on overall and win my H2H. Crazy how this game goes.

Anyways lets see what sort of a team I can throw together for the Byes

Ok been playing with some DPP wizardry, calculating what I need to do for the final run home, keepers etc. Going to use the war chest this week to bring in 2 keepers and cash out a couple others.

    Round 12 Trades

    James Graham
Gives me a captain option and is a top 3 prop with solid base stats
Won't get stuck with a Davis AE after origin either

    Euan Aitken
A keeper in CTR, with a low BE and CLaw high BE if I wait too long I lose in the long run.
Bought CLaw at start of year for 280k so Aitken is a bargain as this is a straight swap.

    Jehrome Hughes
Will play a couple games, minimum cash out and no chance for an AE from him after origin.
Bonus he has dual WFB status so handy to swap with Barba if needed or move back to cash out Gutherson.

Above gives me this team of 12, (scores are based on average and have given 30 points for a half 'debut' for both Feeney/Hughes)

    Graham (59x2)/Tolman(43)/Grant(35)
    Whitehead(54)/Fensom(46)
    Norman(44)/Hughes(30)
    Leilua(47)/Aitken(41)/Holland(42)
    Gutherson(33)/Feeney(30)

    = 563 (500 low) (600 high)

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

4 definite trades remaining to be made and will have 1 luxury one up my sleeve
(Leaves me 6 for injuries for rest of year)
Both Friend (BE 93) and Tedesco (BE 81) have some cash to drop so hopefully won't cost that much to swap

Gutherson (to Tedesco/Or Keeper half via Hughes DPP)
    Holland (Cash out)
    Grant (Cash out)
    Parcell (to JFriend)

    Luxury trade =
    Cartwright/Norman out for a gun (ie Hunt/Fifita)

Haha or maybe I know my trades are good as you have brought them into your team.....
At this stage of the year we are often looking at similar players, it's when you bring them in and for who that is the main difference

Cheers mate, good luck with this round eh, hard to put something together this year without crippling it completely
