Round 23 Results
Well this was another roller coaster week, dodged a few bullets on the injury front with popular players going down though a few were rested late in the game which is frustrating.
A few big scores from POD players like Leilua,Whitehead was enough to have me jump back up the ranks.
It's cutthroat at the top and still sitting in a tight group where +50 points will see me as high as top 20 or drop the same.
First round of the eliminator is done and get the bye this week, Good luck to the Goons who go through to the Semi Finals with their second chance.
Will be interesting to see this weeks Team lists, with trades short there could be some movement made with people caught short

Round 24 Trades
Martin Taupau
Ownership in the top 50 is low and can go large on his day so a decent POD ( might loosen up given Manly is out of the finals). Has a higher ceiling than Cartwright and is back to playing in the 2nd row so should continue to score well. Worth a gamble with 3 weeks left and enough depth to see me through.

Well that's it, out of trades so will have to rely on depth for the rest of the year..Didn't pay for the last month of Fantasy coach so an imagination will have to be used for predicted scores for everyone as well haha.
Reckon Marty is worth a shout to score a try this week too, has been a while for him

Yeah, wanted to bring Taupau in myself. Your ridiculous depth means that doesn't look sideways.

Round 24 Results Update
Well some mixed results again as the season winds up.
Some large scores by Walker and Munster offset by Aitken and Barba poor ones but this happens in backs.
Gained a couple more spots overall, a couple gambles didn't really pay off with Smith scoring slightly more and Cartwright outscoring Taupau but worth the shot this time of year.
Anyways after my bye, my team is looking forward to the League playoff against "Bird is the Word", should be a tight one

Round 25 trades
None left
Bird over Barba due to the ownership being lower so gambling to make a few places on the ladder
He has also had a few quiet games recently and due a try

Really hope that mannering goes large for you. Cam keeps showing us all how he is the best sweet and forget in the game

Yeah mate I agree 100%, most of the time I have gone Cam due to what you mention.
Sometimes it is worth the gamble to make a play to try and get into the top 20, though if it means I finish 60th instead of 40th then I guess it doesn't mean a lot in the grand scheme of things.
In Mannering we trust

Round 25 Results
Well the gamble didn't really pay off with Smith going large and Bird having a shocker.
Dropped a few places but still inside the top 50.
Won my H2H this week in a close one and now a very tough match in the L5 final against the 'Winning Poms' who will be tough to beat with our teams very similar.
All to play for now Bring it on

Round 26 Results
Fitting to the headline, the last round had it's ups and downs. Some small scores by popular players and large ones balanced out to another 900+ score.
Can't complain too much as it is difficult to know how teams will play due to burnout, rested and niggly injuries etc
Happy to get through to the end pretty much unscathed with makes up a bit for the first half of it
Happy to win the Sharks overall group which nets me $200 NRL shop voucher as well, a nice bonus to get this with a lot of luck involved here.
In regards to the H2H league it turned out to be an epic final fitting of this tough league with it going right down to the wire.
Came down to Taupau vs James and resulted in a tie with count back going in my favour.
Well played Rhino Poms, next year we can have our rematch and congrats on taking out the overall Fanatics league.
Anyways will have a final wrap up later when i get some spare time, but hope you all enjoyed these write ups and showing you not to give up not matter how bad you start
