Mahoney probably represents better value, but I'm still a bit gunshy about him being a keeper rather than this being a form blip.

Robson you probably get what you pay for in terms of value, but is definitely a keeper, plays R13, and has a good upcoming draw for attacking stats which we know he loves.

I'm on Mahoney because I can't afford the price difference while selling Ford instead of Egan Butcher.

Mahoney owner - happy with him so far, uncharacteristic errors this week hurting his score, should have gone 60+ again. I expect him to at least match, if not better Robson for scoring, also plays 2 Origin byes.

Kinda tempted to keep Smith around for HOK/MID bench cover

The bye will probably do him some good soon too and won't play origin

500k DPP player is kinda hard to replace so might loop him this week

Would be very close, it`s either him or Ponga.

If Ponga is fit I believe they will stick with him.

There is always Brimson for fullback.

Last year they ran Cotter for 80 minutes and Carrigan for huge minutes. Don't need 3 MIDs.

    That`s a fair point.

As a QLD fan I would rather them put Walsh at Fullback if the alternative was Walsh and Ponga in the 17.

Walsh might just straight up win the job also.

Not sure if this was posted before, but Roosters released Tuku Hau Tapuha in order to accommodate NRown signing

What odds are people giving John Bateman of playing this week. Named in 20 but a couple of rumours saying he'd be right this week.

Saw two different pieces of Information, one saying he would play the other stating round 4 is a definite.

Would put it at 70% Round 4 and 30% This week

Update: The nrl website is quite confident he get`s included in the 17.

The byes are starting to get interesting as throw in injuries and depth is starting to getting tested
Having a decent playable 13-17 and reserves will be important going forward

Only takes a couple players to get benched/dropped (Carty/Trindall/Boyd), an HIA or 2 with byes each week and you could be struggling to field 17

Otherwise you could be relying on those dodgy AKP/HSS type players each week and these are quite volatile

You won't get a Preston every week so might have to rely on the DPP Smiths and Boyds of the world to plug the gaps and hang around all year

Yeah not ideal. If you can I'd look at an upgrade this week. Even Mahoney for a cheaper option.

Sure hope there's not any truth to the Doueihi injured rumour and he ends up a late out. Wakeham into the team for the first time

Not a lot of interest in Mahoney at this price. Don't think its too different to his long term average

If I am buying someone for points I'd rather wait and get Cook/Grant

I don't normally post the whole team, but last week might've been the worst I've ever had, copped so many injuries and PODs arent firing. I'm just happy I have 17 this week. My head says to do something like Brailey>Mahoney/Grant + BSmith>Preston, but I might need to make higher risk plays with how bad my rank is now (spoiler: it's 52k). Any thoughts that I missed would be appreciated.

    Brailey
    Tofu Haas HopGod
    EButch Katoa
    Trindall Hastings
    Alamoti HSS
    Mitchell Miller Warbrick

    Carty BSmith Doorey Cleary
    Katoa Boyd Ford Talau

Wouldve been nice to target guys like DCE, Walsh and Bird.

Bethany_B wrote:I've come up with a better idea for my trades this week - Boyd and Ford to Mahoney and Sloan.

This lets me keep E Butcher who should at least score decently, and I can reassess next week with his bye coming up. Ford still has money to make but that low score will put a brake on him for the next 2-3 weeks.

Leaves me $24k bank and the following side

    Mahoney
    Haas, Murray, HopGOAT
    E Butcher, E Katoa
    Doueihi, Trindall
    Bird, Alamoti
    Hammer, Walsh, Miller

    Loiero, Carty, Preston, Cleary (looper)

    I Katoa, Warbrick, Sloan, Talau

Very much like this trade option better.

Roosters released one person? Far out we can expect a signing spree in the next few days

Wakeham has scored 65 + 67 in his 2 NSW Cup games this year (That includes goal kicking, but if he's replacing Doueihi he'd likely kick for Tigers too)

Wests NSW Cup team actually scores tries to convert though

Tapuha played 3 first grade games back in 2021

So they can probably get 2 origin reps in with the money saved
