Yep Boyd+Trindall for the chop next week.

I am hoping IKatoa scores well this week so Boyd can loop into my NPR.

Cheers for the info, so no injury concerns just that he was shit and may lose the position soon. So fine to be in a NPR role

Welch is one of my favourite players i reckon, helps hes a good dude. Enjoy watching him play which is a large part of why i started with him. Sometimes those 1% efforts result in a fantasy missed tackle, but you gotta ride that. I like that he got 62 mins last week, im hoping thats more his norm now that hes captain

Yeah think he's good for at least a 50 ave, maybe 55. A tier below the top guns but one of those 'good enough to have in your 17 and not need to trade out' type of guys

If I sell Cheese needs to be a MID otherwise I have no cover - I think BMM is the only clear option… Rest are all dirty midrangers?

Need to sell CNK or I’m playing TMM every week… thinking Walsh or Miller time. Probably Walsh because don’t rate Miller. Would do Sloan if there was a worthwhile MID up to 680-ish?

    Ideas and advice appreciated

You don't have to spend all your cash, a war chest could be handy over the next few weeks as players peak or have roles changed
Gives you options to also jump onto some fallen guns too

Sloan is cheap and if he averages 35-40 then makes a stack of cash, his benchmark is low because of his buy in so doesn't have to be great.
Time it right and with a bit of luck in a few weeks its a small upgrade for a Tedesco
At worst he is a 277k 18-21 bench player

For a mid just get whatever is good value regardless of price, you don't have to spend up for the sake of it if the options aren't there
Who knows what next week brings

Hope boyd getting hook inspires him to turn it round Luke when ilias got hooked after a disasterous first half last year

I doubt he does but seeing as he’s named I’ll hold him for now, definitely on the chopping block when his bye round comes (think it’s 5 from memory)

Girls and guys, talk to me about Walsh vs Miller (+100k) as a trade in.

Miller - bad team although slapsie runs dont matter. Unlikely to go big but possibly consistent enough high 30s avg. Run of games to come isnt the worst for junk time tbs

Walsh - was going to be my first picked if not for injury. Huge year for him imo. That may or may not translate to fantasy though and without kick metres or goal kicking he can still have a great game and score 35 due to the style of footballer he is.

Thanks for replies all. I did look at Sloan and Welch. Welch doesn’t feel like a keeper or a big money spinner, but maybe he’s enough up to Origin. Will have a think

    Appreciate the other suggestions too.

Also realised after posting I could do TMM -> Sloan/Perham, keeping CNK and hope he’s back next week. Could also keep the cheese then, ride it out and hope he comes back hectic after the bye

    Much to think about

I have never seen the attraction of bench mids as cash cows, they are very slow burns usually.

Much better to go for the Carty/Preston/Chee Kam's of the game no? More likely to get some additional attacking stats I would presume.

That being said I did not listen to my own advice and am stuck with F Pele Razz

I know the Super Coach (I don't play just listen to their perspectives) crowd rate Schuster, I had doubts he would have a huge upside, but he should still make some coin from his attacking stats, but he has terrible base.

In supercoach he was priced based on his 2022 stats (low because of many bench appearances)

In Fantasy he was given a price bump to make him less attractive

Walsh in better team with awesome next 5 games, better player, eye test better, scored better, sexier,

Miller crabby points scoring runs, Newcastle awful so far, and getting decimated

Walsh much better option, I own both

I assume you have Doueihi/Trindall who do you bring in for your halves next week for Trindall, - Boyd?

Before trades my half options are Cleary, Trindall, Boyd and TMM

So probably not gonna trade Cleary being my only gun half atm, but did like the look of it.

Ideally want to bring a gun half or HOK in this week but can only really get Grant or Cook if I dump Cleary which is a big risk play

To be honest I might just not trade this week as I have no obvious outs other than Smith and dropping him to anyone other than a HOK kills my cover there and don't really want one of the mid tier HOKs

Cheese does feel one of those we toss away and regret it at the end of the season. I guess it comes down to cash vs trades vs number of other fires.

But im trying to get cash together to turn Boyd into someone reliable at half

Can anyone explain how Talau is $226k? I thought there was a hard base of $230k?
