BE can determine when to buy but shouldn’t be used completely to decide who to buy. I agree ford can wait a week but as I said the doubt around his role is in theory less. No better cows aka players who will make money over a given period currently, let alone one who can be played in a week with multiple fires
I'm currently looking at bringing him in.
I was originally looking at;
Hayze Perham $369K WFB BE 10 - He looks like a decent base, able to TB and crab across field, racks up a decent MG and sniffs around for offloads/opportunities - never the less looks like a 20's floor.
Tyrell Sloan $324K WFB BE 1 - Pretty low MG and less of a tackle breaker. Appears to need a try to be hitting 40's, but then he's scored 9 tries in 11 games at fullback - would be fine in EMG, but not really ideal for a starting 13.
The main question with the two above is do they really improve my team much over having to play ITT or Warbrick - maybe 10 points on average?
If I grab one of the young fullbacks then I probably have to play a wing in pos 17 this week - less than ideal
Alternative was:
Jackson Ford $353K MID/EDG BE35 - I'll try to catch up on the game vs the Knights, but he's a bit of a known quantity, works hard and capable of putting up a decent score. His floor seems more likely 30's and 40's, and reduces the number of bench OSBs in my team. BE isn't everything, so on balance, I'm probably leaning towards Mr Ford
