Similar question for me.
Do we think IKatoa outscores Doorey's 24??

Downgraded to 22. I'm playing HSS over him. He's scored minimum 20 in 3 games

Doorey downdated to 22 so you could roll the dice with IKat

I had a quick look and he has to be the dominant kicker for it to be worthwhile. Last weeks 52 was his highest score by far without decent kms - next best is 33
Still more tempted by Wakeham
I can't believe I am seriously looking at Wakeham again. Maybe 4th time lucky?
If his halves partner is Brooks and Douehi doesn't steal kick meters, its much better than his previous situation next to Flanagan or Burton at the Bulldogs, as he likely kicks 4-500ish per game. Its a big punt, but could be huge if it comes off.
Looking at building bank this week, by downgrading Douehi to Wakeham, and Cotter to SJ.
Can then use that bank next week to do:
Butcher > Matterson
Trindall > Hosking
Unfortunately means missing Katoa this week, (hoping he is a bit quieter without Hughes for a couple of weeks, and up against iPap this week), but would have the rest of the gun EDG set - Hopgood, Matterson, (both playable at MID), Fifita, Hosking, Carty, Preston.

Wakeham also tempting me
Going Boyd - Wakeham, allows me to get in Turbo instead of Walsh which I would much prefer

At least it feels more like bad luck rather than a dumb move. Even with Matto back, he pumps out a score you'd let your daughter date.
Speaking of blokes you'd let your daughter date,
Happy Birthday SI you champ

Depends on your team.
Tanah seems forever destined for about 40. Illias will probably average the same. Neither really going to generate a bunch of cash.

Should be great regardless of what happens...sell out crowds are ace!
Listening to a bit of Fugazi to get me fired up.
Any album in particular? (I'm going to guess it's Repeater)

Yeah kinda depends on HK/HLF situation.
I'd probably trade Boyd since he's on the bye next week. Either could randomly string some good scores together, but Ilias is more secure I think.

In 4 important games this season, Garner has had 1 great game, 3 poor games and appears to have been playing badly enough to be hooked at 29 minutes and not come back on, while the other EDG almost won them the game with a try and had a huge work rate. Garner has been a journeyman for a long time, Hosking looks like a genuine up and coming gun (not just for fantasy).
I mean Hosking wasn't even in the top 30 when he debuted for bronie at 25yo. Now 26. Can't really say that's lighting the world on fire.
I'm not knocking him because he is truly an effort player who fights for every inch. He's solid. But there must be a reason Ivan went with Garner over Hosking.

I would like to go Wakeham (but I'm potentially overly optimistic with Tigers)
The problem as I see it is this;
To start the season Sheens decided his halves pairing would be: Brooks, Doueihi
He knew that both had a shortened pre-season (especially Brooks).
Nevertheless, when they failed to gel after 2 games he added a backup half to the bench.
Now has shifted the five-eighth to fullback with the season starting fullback added to the bench.
What's the chances that Wakeham plays 50 minutes, then Doueihi is back playing 6 and Laurie is fullback. The thing with Sheens, is you wouldn't know what he's thinking.
And that's before you even consider that he gave the incumbent halves just 2.5 weeks... how long will he give to a late season addition to the squad if the Tigers don't chalk up some wins?

Ivan did, of course, give Garner his debut back at the Tigers...
They're both probably works in progress, but maybe Ivan sees Garner's real-life performance ceiling as higher than Hoskings? (despite the compelling argument, for some, that fantasy points suggest otherwise)

Ivan loves Garner. Loved him at the Tigers, still loves him now.

For those who are considering Wakeham, how many of you traded in Jock Madden this time last year and how did that work out for you?
