There is a good chance Hynes busts this theory but have a couple of weeks to think about it (also don’t have a ‘sold Cleary’ fund which minimises the risk)

Every time I’ve Stretched to get in a gun in early (Cleary, Cook in seasons past) it’s been counter productive.

Yes this somewhat reminds me of the Talakai situation last year, where people were jumping on and FOMO ran wild.
Obviously Hynes (unlike Talakai) is clearly a gun but I think a lot of people will make bad trades to bring him in.

What a luxury loop having Miller involved haha, he’s starting WFB for sure in my team.

Yeah he also said, he’s not an impact player you have to leave him out there, the tougher it gets the better it gets
Reassured me he’s an 80 min player

I was going to get Null Null instead of Ford, but after Hosking came on the radar I decided to get a more afFordable trade to save some cash.
no regrets here

1065 all done for me.
Round rank of 42 which is quite comfortably my best ever.
Jumped from 43,504 to 10,534, which is also comfortably my best ever green arrow. Also a good reminder for everyone how quickly you can gain ground at this time of season.
Sometimes this game is fun after all

Just got home after a wedding and watched the Sharks game taped. Wanted to bring in Hynes but just thought it was horrible value due to the MN changing etc.
Happy to live with that. Got 998 and coming 75th!
In SC i'm doing horribly (50k overall) but got 1383 and think it'll be a top 100 type rank (captained hynes there). Been a bloody good weekend including a few winning try scorer plays including Koroisau last try scorer at $81!

Pre updates from Thursday games I have scored 937 I’m a bit deflated many bigger scores out there. C Grant over Cleary hurt me as did having Thompson and Bird didn’t go well. Not an ideal start to the season but long way to go.
Rank up from 18,017 to 13,160 with overall score 3276. I’m over the WFB roulette one week play Warbrick for 13 then Thompson goes better next week play Thompson then Warbrick brains it. Thinking I might just say fuck it and use most of my bank and get Teddy in a week early as in a week or 2 I expect people to be saying oh I need to get Teddy in! I would like Brailey too at some point.
Working out how to get Hynes is gonna be a massive headache as well come round 7/8 I’m quite worried about that.

That is quite exciting. Nicely done, mate. Let this be the start of an upward trend for you.
I’m up some 4300 spots, sitting just outside the top 3000, and maybe 50 or so points outside the top 1000?
Again, massive congratulations for your excellent round!

964 halved my overall rank into the 4 figure range at 7747, I need to cull some Bulldogs as long as Tohu isn’t long term, Reed “Paul Carter” Mahoney and Sutton to be specific, Brailey and Frizell are probably the targets if nothing else pops up

Got the tools mate. Captain and Warbrick the only difference makers and they're in your squad at least.
I'm high on Teddy and if you're sitting on some cash already, he could be a go'er this week to chuck Thompson in the EME.
Warbrick and Alamoti will be making cash for a few weeks, so will help fund Hynes. Won't really need them soon with Bird, Lemuelu, Trbo, Miller and Teddy to come in as your back 5.

Matt Frawley's stat line adds up to 33 but his score is 38. Looks like the 2-point field goal glitch isn't just for Cleary. Let's see if they have the wherewithal to fix it, but now expecting Cleary to end up with 78.
