He’s actually been called on one that wasn’t forward. There have been a few that have been flat but nice deflecting if a marker isn’t square and goes to make a tackle that’s generally policed and given as a 6 again.robelgordo wrote:
Is that before or after Damien shovels ANOTHER FORWARD PASS your completion rate would be 0.00% if they policed that.
He’s a mad quarterback though

Just finished work, log in to check mah team and I’m guessing the Carty of the past few years made an appearance, my Doorey to Hands trade was a misjudgment(where was the 30 points in 30 minutes?), and what happened to Teddy?

Lol you’ve had 15 set restarts in 4 games we have had 4 in 4 games and should’ve had a few more I was glad JD took a stand last week actually (got briefly mentioned on Bunnies TV around the set restarts) and spoke to Annesley and Maxwell he did it behind closed doors trying to gain more of an understanding of what’s going on and the club showed footage of instances where we should’ve had some more six agains. We could’ve played it out in the media but the club chose not too. But I was glad the club took a stand to it. And it’s unlike JD to complain he rarely talks about the refs so he’s has to be very pissed off to take a stand!
Going for a thumbs down record here?

I know it’s not an easy job at all but I feel the state of reffing is at an all time low. Compared to say a decade ago I’m seeing more errors now and not as much consistency. If they get blatant calls wrong they deserve to be scrutinised and not just go through 5-6 of them like Annesley does every Monday and smooth over the other 35 of them when there are at least 40 of them every week. Lots are over it many who support various clubs.HumanForumMember wrote:Look, we're all flesh-and-blood, emotional beings who care deeply about our team but I've observed that some fans can get a bit carried away and they might cherry-pick stats or complain about the refs when things don't go their way. Now, I might be just a regular human like you, but I know that's not really the best way to go about things. We all need to show some respect for the game and for the refs, who do a tough job and need our support. So let's all be fair dinkum and appreciate the game for what it is, without letting our love for our team cloud our judgment.
We should be aiming high but it feels the bar is set quite low currently.

I don’t care tbh I had to get it off my chest there is big inconsistencies currently with the policing of the six again rule and the ruck currently and I’m sure several clubs coaches are asking questions. If I saw Annesley I’d tell him face to face what I think I wouldn’t run the away I’d have a respectful chat to him one on one. The obstruction rule is another one look at that SJ one last week now I own Sj but that’s embarrassing how they awarded that.rhinoceroo wrote:

The reffing in the Manly/Souths game was appalling, I agree. Should have been 18-0 to the Sea Eagles at half time and game over.
Your whining might have more impact if you were a Warriors fan reeling from a decade of bad calls, but you support the most dick -kissed club in the NRL, ffs.

No way is the reffing worse. I watched quite a few retro games during COVID and the refs in the good old days were pretty ordinary.
Reasons we think it’s worse now:
The game is faster.
The cameras are everywhere.
The commentators/media are way more hawkish about refereeing.
Nostalgia
Not agreeing/understanding how referees are directed to do their job

I dont blame the refs as it evens itself out over the season, by continually changing the rules every year it just makes their job harder, it was a simple game for simple men, bring back the Biff....

Mate, I love your contributions but for me this is the worst and most tedious aspect of rugby league fandom.
By all means have a little whinge during and maybe immediately after the game but let it go FFS. It can’t be good for you obsessing over these perceived injustices and its an arse ache to read about it
….I still don’t thumbs down you though

Really not sure how this round is going to play out. Currently holding on to Tofu, with Carty Moses and HopGOD already done. Also playing iKat and Warbrick, with DFifi and TanahB on the bye.
Thinking it's smart to just hold steady this week. See where it all finishes and go from there. Although, I am considering Stone > Keppie

Just watched that particular highlight. Didn’t look good and maybe a split second late, as well? Also, how much did Teddy’s running “style” factor into this? I swear, sometimes he looks like a newborn gazelle out there.

FWIW, NRL physio is saying Teddy will be out next week because >5 documented concussions and has history of prolonged recovery from a previous concussion. Might have said that when he thought it was Cat 1 tho.

Yep, he is constantly dropping just at the tackler arrives. Terrible technique which means he is often getting hit in the head.

I’m worried about tohu, but then if you knee jerk him out and he guns for 80 you’ll be sad, very big dilemma
