What made it worse for me was the commentators and panel of 'experts' especially (p)Ennis saying "oh there was no malice intended" - shameful.

I don't own Ted btw..but that was a bludger of a decision not to red card there. Hope Ted is OK.

It's not about protecting our stars, it is about protecting all players from those malicious headshots, they have to come out of the game.

As the official "Bludger" on this forum, I can attest that officially, 'Yes' it was a bludger of a decision not to send Simonsson off.
Late, shoulder to the head, not even an attempt at arm wrapping around action.
I do believe JWH's statement that "If it was me who did that I'd have been sent off" is entirely correct.

And for the record, as a neutral, I was supporting the Eels in that game.

I actually though the proposed Union 20 minute red was a good compromise, player off for 20 and can't come back means the other team gets a good advantage and it also shouldn't activate 18 either.

Would mean refs are more likely to use it in these situations where players need to go and it doesn't wreck the game like the current red can.

Everyone will just be trading him in at low 600k/high 500k

Agree I've always thought it was a good idea. For Rugby especially now red cards are so common. Should work well in League too

Yeah, I guess so, frustrating for Teddy owners that he'll be sideline next week as well

Sloan to Teddy in a few weeks might be possible for me Shocked

Does Teddy also have a chance of missing R7? (15 days from yesterday). Is it 11 days stand down from all training etc?

Refs should just send people more often and if it wrecks the game so be it. If you want to take someone’s head off you live with the consequences

Pretty sure he's not subject to the 11 day rule since his HIA was category 2, but decent chance he misses R6 anyway. He's probably playing R7 unless there's lingering symptoms, meaning that he'd be a purchase in R8-9

Nrl physio posted something about if you have had more then 5 concussions or long standing concussions symptoms prior then you need to adhere to the 11 day stand down. I hadn't heard that before so I'm not sure if it's accurate but not sure why he would post it if he hadn't done his research so no teddy next week I'd say.

Have seen the same thing (not sure if was from NRL Physio or not)

Rooters play Thursday night again next week so I'd say he'll be out due to mandatory stand down
