Slightly different, but the Tofu nickname for Tohu doesn't make sense. Those words don't sound the same.

I am actually pretty sure there is a silent q in there some where. It is Welshy name from memory

Listening to the NRL Guru podcast today he mentioned he has heard whispers out of Panthers long-term Hosking gets R EDG and Martin switches to L EDG, he also thought Salmon will play L EDG tonight and Sorensen will resume his Middle/EDG bench role.

So interesting if that turns out not to be wishful thinking...

I traded in Hosking for the 'excitement' factor.

please note: I do not know the veracity of Guru's intelligence gathering.

    Speaking of Edwards, I was looking at WFB options earlier in the week and couldn't help but notice his stats this year;

    - 8 tackles for 1 missed (across 3 games - not having to do much defensive work, but a net positive isn't a bad thing for a FLB).

    - 1T, 1TA, 1LB from 3 games, all pretty low numbers that are slightly below his 2022 averages

    - 8.7 TB's per game - of all players who have played at least 2 games, only Miller (8.Cool is averaging higher - comparitively 4.5 last year

    - 250 MG per game - always a stand out in this area, currently up from 218 last year.

    - OFH, KD pretty much on par with last year

Fantasy average so far of 55.7 against 3 competitive teams in the Broncos, Rabbitohs and Eels

It's probably just a little fantasy hot streak (he's done it before), but I'm interested to see if he develops into one of those random players that just went under the radar and suddenly somehow becomes an $800k WFB must have. Can winning a Clive Churchill medal give you super powers?

One of his 3 games was the Moses 1,000 km game, where he ran for 313m. The 2 stats are closely linked and one was a record, so unlikely to be representative.

I brought him in last season when he had hit 344 running meters in round 1, scoring 59, followed by 2 scores in the 20s. Not sure things have really changed from last season where all the back 5 ended up getting huge running meters out of their back end.

There wasn’t an investment thread. So I put it here?

    Quite agree..

the issue I see with Edwards is that while he is a good player, Panthers have strike weapons right across their backline.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply you were posting incorrectly, was just explaining why I could not embellish on my investments for tonight Smile

But I will be very happy if Panthers win by 11.5+ and/or either Cleary or Luai score a pie cheer

What's the guts on Bostock? Has he got a spot for a few weeks with Nui back in R8 or might hang around a bit longer?

Probably going Loiero to Hosking so need to dump Trindall.

Worth going Bostock to get the extra 70k over AKP? Most likely getting AKP next week anyway.

Bostock gets me 120k in the bank rather then 50k.
Why do you need to dump Trindall this week?
If the plan is to get AKP next week, just hold Trindall and eke out another 20-25k.

Same dilemma for me and I’m still leaning towards trading Sutton and holding Trindall.
I know I’m clutching at straws but hoping they may play him in a roving lock type of role.
At least he’ll make something if he walks on the field.
    Sutton is going nowhere.

Great day for a swim here. 20 easy laps.

My fantasy year has started horriciously. Round 2 almost made me delete the app. I gave away 250 points, imho, by 5 head trauma injuries for 22 fucking points. That’s right. 22. My head was traumatised.

So, I’m fighting my way back from 72,000th and am now sitting 42,000th before this round.

Those are big gains. I’ll keep you updated as the famous Rabbit charge continues unabated.
