What are the centre options for muppets like me who are running HSS with no cover?

Not seeing any cheapies, which means I'm probably spending my Hynes bank, unless I trade out one of these Parra boys. Intending to get Ford with my other trade. Need a cheap playable MID for team balance, and he seems the best shout.

Thought on Lemuelu this round? Maybe still ~50k underpriced? Can afford Bird if I trade Carty. I particularly like his bye schedule. Some of the other options who have dropped a bit of cash - Lomax/Crichton - have more to lose. Don't like the look of Aitken.

    some options are:

Trindall + HSS to Ford + Lemuelu and 75k,
or Trindall + Carty to Ford + Bird and 202k
or HSS + Carty to Ford + Bird and 83k.

Probably prefer the 3rd option, but not really sure.

Could get Reimis Smith or Olam and hope they score some tries? They're probably the cheapest CTRs with potential to hit 30s. But it's a wasteland.

I like option 1 if you think Lemmy has that spot locked down for the foreseeable future

Is it too stubborn to not want to bring SJ in this late? I don't love buying him at 760 when I could buy Tohu/Fifi/Carrigan or Robson for 40k more. Guess it depends how must have he is until he breaks down. I still have Hastings as my second half though, so its pretty bleak there

Yeah, it’s faster cash versus likely later trading. Depends what you want.

How is Kodi faster cash? Much worse BE and probably scores same or worse than Katoa. I think Katoa worth small extra $$$ for scoring AND JS

Yeah noticed they are pretty cheap, but I think I have enough Storms players and relying on tries makes me uneasy. Could work out though just feels like a bit of a gamble. Cheers.

Locked down might be a bit strong. I think he has similar JS to Bird though.

ALSO - lots of love for KNik this week, but little Tino seems more fun as a cheapie

I suppose it comes down to who gets the majority of the kicking. If it’s evenly split then we are in trouble with either.

Niko's lifetime average as a starting half is around 40, which is 8pts over Katoas highest ever NRL fantasy score.

That's how Kodi is faster cash.

Who cares about what their BE is this week. I'm assuming whichever one you trade in has a planned lifespan in your team of a month or more

Katoa averages 25 in first grade.
Niokorima averaged 45 in the halves in 2021 (touch under 40 if you discount goal kicking). Admittedly that was Vlandys-ball rules, but evidence suggests he'll score better than Katoa does.

What sort of $ is Knik making this week if he goes for 40-45? It can’t be much.

Thinking this is a good week to save a trade and wait and see on the Carty/Hopgood situation and what happens there.
So just gonna go Doorey to one of the cheapies, likely KNik, and leave the other one.

I wish i'd seen Russell play before to know if he's going to be a solid option at CTR with dpp.

It won’t be a lot this week. If they both average 40 over the next 3 weeks then Katoa pips Niko by 20k, think it’s 80k vs 100k.

Just depends who you see actually averaging 40, it’s more likely to be Niko

    $15-20k this week.

But if he is scoring 40-45 then he'll make cash a lot faster in the 2-3 weeks following that. If you can wait a week probably safe to do so, but some people might need the downgrade option now

It's an absolute fucking wasteland...I think I'll just wait to see what happens to Carty/Hopgood next week and jump to Bird

Happy with my frontline ATM of Lemu & Alamoti but as far as a backup you can rely on to score 30 or make a few $$ goes there is nothing.
