I agree. It might only be 3-4 weeks. But there's upside - it reminds me of 2021 when HB started with BS9 with Grant having a minor injury, putting himself in a position where he might get lucky, and he did. Or when no one got KBrom because he was just filling in for Stimson (lol) where in reality Hoffman had retired and the position was up for grabs. The Dolphins position is up for grabs, and if we get lucky Knik holds the spot.

Tohu > Keppie seems like a bit of a mistake, but it's not the end of the world... yet. Current looking like:

    Grant
    Murray Carrigan Ford
    DFifi EKatoa
    Moses Boyd
    Alamoti Lemuelu
    Miller Meaney Hammer
    Hopgood Carty Preston Keppie
    iKat HSS AKP Warbrick

    $287k ITB

Thinking of trading Carty to SJ. To get Cleary I'd have to trade a gun. Looking at alternatives, such as Koloa, but think SJ is the way forward?

Yeah SJ's a good move, plays round 13 as well

If the edge position wasnt a concern and you had Warbrick starting wfb would you trade Teig Wilton to Turbo?, Not trade or go a different wfb?

Will still have Preston, Katoa, Hosking, Ford, Loeiro as edges so no concern there and leave miller, perham and turbo as wfb

Speaking of Rugby Union, Aaron Schoupp's brother is in the Wallabies training squad.

Wilton looks just a tier below keeper level and is priced not a lot cheaper than what he'll average. And with the abundance of edges makes sense. But if Warbrick is going to npr, then someone from your npr is being promoted to interchange. If it's someone solid it makes sense, if it's a shit centre or IKatoa, probably not worth it.

In isolation its certainly worth waiting a week.

In my position if I want Cleary this week, I need to bring in KNik (or other ~250k player)

Potentially can just wait a week on Cleary and see what happens. Have a day to ponder it

Will be scary playing Boyd this week with their lineup. You’d have to assume Sexy takes the dominant kicking role and GK with Campbell not shy of a kick himself.

Really could use some ideas myself this week. 171k itb.

    Cook
    Haas Murray Ford
    Preston Hosking
    SJ Boyd
    Alamoti Null
    Turbo Miller Warbrick

    Hopgood Cartwright Loiero IKatoa

    Tedesco Trindall Doorey HSS

Thinking Trindall to Knik and play Knik over Ikatoa. Bank some cash with a view to buying a half next week. Could get Cheese in for Doorey to add a bit of depth. Could sell Teddy to Cleary. Really unsure which way to go.

    Opinions greatly appreciated.

Boyd *should* score similar Wilton, and Turbo *should* be a significant upgrade on Warbrick. Looks okay to me.

Your first idea the best IMO, halves look to be your only weak spot and if you were to sell Teddy to do that this week you’d only weaken your backs next week.

hlf2 and int4 are the pain points for me. Boyd a fine short term starter who if getting cleary could become int4 i like the patient play of knik this week and upgrade hlf2 to cleary next week ideally holding boyd through the process.

I don't think Sexton comes in only because of injury and takes all the kicking from Boyd who is being groomed as the clubs number 7.

    HSS is deadwood.
HSS and Trindall to KNik and Cheese.
Those are looking like my trades this week.

I don't mind Trindall to Cheese for only 85K. Adds a backup hooker too.
