Round 9. Why dont you like Host? He’s gonna play big mins with Keaon out should avg close to 40 a game. Plays round 13 could make a cheeky 120k. He’s priced at 28. I think we prefer Jai mainly in the middle now. JD is a big Host fan too as soon as he was back he was starting.

I do not think he will be benched for Cheeks or Jed starting.

On Crossland he will be 30k more and Ponga will be back soon with Gamble maybe the 14. Crossland doesn’t run the ball at all either he’s only gonna get points in tackles. He will be priced at 30/31 already after lockout this week.

Is there anyone else at that price point? I need someone around this price point.

I'd maybe be interested in Host if he was a MID.

I do not need a mid particularly currently. Do you see why I’m interested in Host?

    Ok let’s do it now

TU Carty to Host (priced at 28 after lockout)
TD Carty to Crossland (priced at 30 after lockout)

Don’t need both currently. Just bought S. Luke and Couchman. I have I. Katoa too and Warbrick who I’m holding for now.

I really don’t get it when you do this thing of saying what you’re going to do, asking for other peoples opinions and then when you get them you shoot down those opinions and defend your idea to the death, why bother with the upvote/downvote stuff? you clearly like Host more than you do Crossland, just get Host.

I think I'd be waiting until Tuesday and hoping there's a better option than either of those two.

You've got me moderately interested in Host, but he's still Jacob Host.

Lot of questions around Crossland and his role/minutes - too many for me, but the punt paid off for those who took the plunge this week. Won't be scoring tries every week, though...

I’m still undecided mate tbh. I see arguments both ways.

I need a hooker round 9 to cover Grant and I want Robson for that and round 13 as well so going Carty to one of those guys allows me to do a Teddy to Loiero and have enough go likely go Boyd to Robson in round 9.

I’m thinking I’ll hold Katoa Storm always go well on Anzac Day Night and against his old team I think Katoa will score a meat pie and go well.

Boyd is currently my HK cover for Grant. Don't think Boyd needs to be traded before then now Sexton is out.

I'll probably get BSmith too and have Hands if he somehow emerges as an option, but will still be keeping Boyd.

    Crossland is one I want

Tedesco another, he’s ready to go on a tear,

    And finally Tohu or JMK,

Not sure which of those two is more urgent

Yeah, I'm pretty much the same regarding Boyd. I was ready to punt him last week with that Sexton situation, but until that he hadn't really done anything for me to get rid of him, and this round he scored as good as or better than most prolific hookers, so again, no reason to look to move on for me, yet.

Rabs, I’ll say the same thing that I say around this time every week.
Don’t make any plans until after TLT.
It won’t answer all of your questions, but it will certainly answer some of them.
It’s great to have a plan, but that plan needs to be as flexible as it possibly can be.
Look at this week, I planned to trade Hopgood to Matterson.
That plan changed at the last possible moment.
Sure it cost me 8 points (pre updates), but it saved a trade.

Overall scores not updated though mine is on 808 just added it up should be 815.

I had another steady round rank in from 2728 pre updates to 2062 with an 808 pre updates looks like that’ll go up to 815.

Going to have to sell Carty I’m considering getting Host who should keep a 70mins role especially with Keaon out 8 weeks now. Host will be about 370k priced at 28 yes I’ve been burnt by him before but he avg 37.8 in games over 60mins and avg 44 in games over 70mins. An avg of around 38-39 would be enough for him to make 120-130k. Going Carty to Host also likely allows me to get Robson the week after. I’m looking at Teddy this coming week too. With Host he would mainly be my 17th man and I’d loop him where I can.

    Anyone else looking at Host?

Would be hilarious if Trent Peoples emerged again

Also some new ones I think. Teddy +1 to 37 and Hosking +6 to 57. Pretty sure he was 51?

Hosking going to be the one that got away for me Sad

Frizell has outscored since I made decision but missing cash may be costly

Yeah same unfortunately... always knew there was a decent risk it would happen once I didn't get him initially.

Meanwhile I see there's been some decent updates and you're now beating me by 1 point! Unbeaten run coming to an end Crying or Very sad

I think the score hasn’t updated correctly and you got me by 1

You were 4 ahead and went up 2 (Matto +3, Carty -1) and Bird went up by 5

Still waiting for Robson’s 2nd TB though Laughing

I think hosking is an interesting case study, he’s worked out because Martin and garner have been injured/reinjured etc,

I’ve jumped on mcinnes similarly for his window of opportunity but who’s to say BHU, kaufusi or one of the other cronulla middles won’t get suspended injured and give him more game time,

Sometimes these risks pay off handsomely

    Sometimes you get Trent people’s

Reminds me a lot of 2021 Hynes, where some people were handsomely rewarded for taking the risk on him when Papy first got concussed (round 6), and then everyone else got on a few weeks later, when if Papy had not got concussed again by Fuimaono's dog shot, Hynes could have been a bust.

Even this year Cartwright got more weeks as a starter than people were initially banking on, and made an extra $100k out of it.

Trindall got just enough games but could easily have been a couple more or couple less.

Doing well in Fantasy means getting these sort of decisions right which is more guesswork than skill

I ended up getting Jackson Ford instead of Hosking (couldn't get both due to positional needs elsewhere) which wasn't a terrible outcome given the cost difference but Hosking would have been nice.
