2023 Sydney Meetup

I will be coming for the pre game will be there by 3pm for Souths game won’t be coming to the game though.

My maybe is looking like a less likely, but not tapping out yet. With so many going I want to meet some new faces.

Seems like ga tickets will be the go to make it easy for the maybes

Happy with whatever seats but agree that general admission gives more flexibility for the maybes to change late

@Bullbender is a certainty. I heard he already has a seat reserved in the TAB

Do people wear jerseys?

Tempted to rock the white Steelers (since Dragons away at 3pm). Will take it off and hide it if they lose hahahaha

Any other out of towners looking to stay the night somewhere?
Last time I attended I drove home (2+ hours) straight after the game.
If I go this time I’ll be looking to have a few after game beers.

Always wear Roosters jersey regardless of who plays. Pretty convenient I get to watch them lose to the Dolphins this time

Haha I used to with Steelers jersey when I used to attend games more regularly. Last time I went to SFS was 2009ish Roosters v Titans Fri night and had the Steelers jersey on. Bit of an unwanted attention magnet though

I am happy to go with the flow. Will meet up whenever is decided. Ill be in sydney from Friday.

Ive got a hotel room near world square. Pretry sure its a tiny ibis budget room though. There is potentially space on the floor? Lol

This is the sort of go getter attitude a meet up needs. I’m sorry to have missed out on the last couple.

Not looking to bludge off someone, more thinking if someone was staying at a pub/motel, it would make sense to stay at the same place.
I’ll have a look for ibis motels near world square.

If you're going to kick on after the game, you wont get in anywhere in a footy jersey and end up drinking at a Korean BBQ restaurant because some spud told the bouncer we had had a coupole of beers.

Nothing wrong with getting chopped at a Korean BBQ. Food is great and soju is cheap!

Just went back to the start of the thread to confirm the days games and saw this. What you’re describing is 90% of in game posting on here, dunno why you think it’d be any different in person

I'm still a maybe..
I just checked the updated schedule of fixtures for our soccer team and the last game of our regular season is on the 12th at 3pm here in Newcastle (probably Maitland Park), currently we're 5th on the ladder and it is a game against nr 4, so likely a decider on who's going to make the finals.
2 hour drive to SFS will cut it fine to make it to the game
