people still brought in Host and hung on to Carty though....

Yeah, fair point about RCG and possible impact on Carty. Something more to painfully ponder, no doubt.

Definitely had to play him this week, though.

But I dunno, I just feel like the party's over and I probably shouldn't have stuck around, when everyone else went home, scrounging around for unfinished beers and uneaten chips.

He does look a bit like the early shine has worn off. Early rounds he was very good. All getting a bit loosey goosey now from him.

    Ah well.

We'll see what the rest of the weekend has in store i suppose

Carty surely plays big minutes next week. The mids will have to share more minutes with RCG and Hopgood out

Yeah hipdrop sinbins are pretty much becoming the new HIAs that are a random event that everyone is susceptible to, except they come with a negative on the stats.

I think what Brandy is talking about now is pretty onto it though. If you're Mam, you're a little half basically getting dragged along by a strong forward and just holding on and sliding down his legs, wtf is he meant to do. No player is trained to think oh one on one tackle and I'm sliding down guess I'll just let him go. That's not how tackling works.

It's not the same as the initial tackle that was a problem where you already had one or two guys holding the runner up and then someone tries to leverage their weight to take the legs out.

That Haas one RCG ends up in an awkward as fuck position with his legs spread apart like that. Then you put 120kg on him, yeah your groin is probably going to have a problem with your legs split like that.

More a comment on the over estimation of bad luck and the judicious application of the Dunning-Kruger effect than a serious comment on Hopgood’s value

7/359c for me after tonight's game, pretty decent round so far despite a couple mediocre scores.

Walsh a bit meh but this was always gonna happen at some point and even the top WFBs have the odd low one.

I'm just glad Russell hit his breakeven despite missing 6 tackles on the wing, and his draw only gets easier from here so I'm willing to keep the faith in him for now.

Live rank 34 at the moment, enjoying my time in the top 100 for now Very Happy

Host was one of two semi-cash outs with appeal this week. Don't blame those that took a punt. Carty is averaging 44 on the year, was starting yet again and had played 80 minutes all but once this season. Quality shitposting though

Only Carrigan and Haas for me. Hands in NPRs. Dodged some bullets. Should be targeting a couple of Parra players soon, so hopefully keeps their prices manageable.

Don't get me wrong the MattNz one-eyedness winds me up more than most I think but this one was actually a reasonable observation.

Tbh it was probably the wrong comment to reply on (I usually let Matt be Matt but it does tickle me when he mentions bad luck or bad coaching/ref decisions as the only thing holding him back from world domination) and I didn’t actually notice he was assessing Hopgoods ongoing worth.

Yeah he still scored fine and was hardly seen. Rock solid.
