Tohu said in the press conference that he thought he would miss little to no time. Obviously he is missing this match but he seems to think he won't miss much time. Maybe the medical staff will tell him different though.

With wighton retiring from rep, does anyone think Bird is a smokey for the Blues? Honestly playing good footy and can cover any position... thoughts?

I did think this to myself, he is playing well and they are down a few edge forwards

I feel like there can’t be much risk of worsening it or why did he come back when he did

Hard to see Freddy picking in form players. Sims probably gets the gig again

Haven't seen what the chat is yet (will have a little dive in tonight) but I noticed I could do-

    Out - E.Katoa / Carty / Alamoti
    In - Manu / Cheese / Ponga

Seems really nice on paper. I firmly placed Cheese on my Never Again list earlier this season, but wonder if I'm being silly about it.

Why are people so desperate for Ponga?

He has a bye next week. He a relatively high BE and has played 80 minutes just twice since round 12 last year. Even without origin it seems like he has limited value

People still looking for downgrades? Haven’t learned their lesson over the last few weeks.

I should probably be looking at byes, but an alternative would be same trade outs (Loiero, Carty, Turbo) to Bula, Manu and Fifita.

    Cook
    Murray Smith Ford
    Preston Hosking
    Cleary Johnson
    Alamoti Null
    Ted Manu Miller

    Fifita Crossland Boyd (Haas)
    Granville Ikatoa Niko Bula

    This is better.

What does your team look like for round 13? Because none of them play R13, and Miller does

Yes, however I already own SJ/CNK/Ford

I guss CNK is gone, but I wouldn't own 4 Warriors

I did not know Knights had a bye next week. Then yes, I'd agree it is much wiser to wait until after the bye at least.

I definitely wouldn't say I'm desperate for him, but it's pretty sexy when you see his name available at that price point when trading out the scraps.

Guess I should look at Bula and a bit of cash in the bank then. But I must admit I'm more nervous about a one-match Tiger than I am about Ponga.

only if tohus injury is serious

I think even if tohu is back early he is a trade... high BE and constant risk of leaving the field early

I need a WFB this week essentially

Plus watching him on the weekend, he looked sharp. He is obviously a risk with his head knocks but for those of us with CNK and Turbo, he is a cheap alternative for the weekend at least. Plus its Ponga, he can tear teams the shreds.

Those that started with Ponga are much less likely to risk getting burned again. I am one of them.

Yeah maybe. But trading in three players, none of whom, play rd13 probably unwise.
