Luki has a 24 BE, won't be staying at that price.

Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson has reportedly been sounded out on the possibility of finishing his NRL career playing for the West Tigers in Sydney.

As first reported by Stuff last month, the Warriors aren’t in a rush to re-sign the in-form Johnson for the 2024 season, at this stage. However, the club has far from ruled it out, but a contract from the Warriors would only be for one season.

Talks between the Tigers and Johnson’s management have already begun, The Daily Telegraph reported on Thursday.

Stuff understands Johnson has no intention to retire at the end of the season and wants to play on at the Warriors but is sympathetic to the club’s plight.

True, was thinking of Tatola's BE but Luki has just come back from a relatively severe hamstring injury (which he picked up in his first big minute run after a knee injury).

Hamstrings have a higher rate of reinjury in the first couple of games back, take from that what you will.

Speaking of the Warriors - It's now their 29th season since entering the NRL.

A few of the Oldies on here may remember them debuting with a future fan favourite wearing the number 10; John "Hitro" Okesene.

    I discovered recently that Hitro has had a nephew debut in the NRL this year;

I'd suggest being from the DT that $750k figure is more them guessing $500k +/- $250k

In reality, the "talks" (if they've even happened) would be an initial sounding out as to whether it's something the player might be interested in pursuing before actually having face to face meetings e.g. a sit down with Benji+Sheens, and eventually presenting an actual number.

If anything, it might be SJ's management suggesting that's what they'd like to get, but shit, wouldn't we all like to get that...

Monopoly money has more value than that quote, but yeah, they love stoking that outrage-infotainment

    Hitro the Nitro.

I was a huge fan of a lot of the OG Warriors.
Hitro, Hoppe, Phil Blake, Syd Eru, Whetu Taewa, Vagana, Tuimavave and of course the little general himself.

Kiraz supposedly injured and out but remains in the 19 at cut off?
Can't imagine any reason they'd leave him in there. Must be a mistake?

There are a couple of guys on the dogs forum earlier saying they have it on 'good authority' Kiraz is playing, Gould is just messing with media after the flanagan/manly stuff.

they are training at the moment at langlands park so someone will probably post some news from there.

Lads can someone talk to me about Hopgood. I want him back in but I don’t know if he’ll end up been a trap or not. Why would matterson be on the bench?

It was an exciting time for sure - I already had an NRL team, but didn't stop me from watching every Warriors game that year - a real rollercoaster, didn't hurt that they had Sean Hoppe (one of my favourite players as a kid).

Phil Blake would've been awesome for Fantasy - that guy seemed like knew how to find a good 20+ point play every match

Posted two hours ago, Ciraldo said "hopefully all three get through training today and will be good to go" re the injured players returning (King, Kiraz, Pele)

He also indicates they'll do the same again this week with Reynolds starting and the young kid bench.

Can't... not enough room there with all the fullbacks that play centre for NSW. If NSW runs out of fullbacks they may go down the route of putting props at centre.

So far I've been trying to hold Carty to R13 and that plan was looking ok until Davey got randomly brought in and Parra playing so late means I can't see if that gets changed. Also got stitched up by McInnes' premature benching.

Was thinking of bringing in Te Whare early for ITT for extra cash to go from McInnes + Carty to JDB and Horse but I'm still like 10k short.

    An avatar! cheer

Pity about the 10k, trades seemed decent. Dunster and Talau are 10k cheaper.... Not sure I can recommend it though.
