I'm more interested in the jerseys with "Famous Grouse" split across different shirts - have there been any other teams that have had different jersey designs on the field at the one time?

I don't like this because it sounds like a Bulldogs victory

In what world is it brave to say you don't like rugby league refs?
Its a position that has been promoted by our main broadcaster for decades and is just about the most common position a rugby league fan can take.
If it really was unravelling the game, it would have died a long time ago

Phonetically similar sentence
We're going Full Alamonti tonight fellas, he's getting a double, for 8 pts.

I don’t see the need for the bunker to be reviewing anything except scoring situations. That’s what the match review committee is for

Still holding Haas.
Bloody Walsh punished me for selling him a couple of weeks ago.

The game can be putting up big numbers for tv rights, but it doesn't mean the average fan is not losing interest. I am a rugby league nut, but it isn't as exciting and amazing as it used to be, by a far stretch. Stoppages and changes make it a different product. I still watch too much of it, and it takes up large amounts of entertainment in terms of articles, games and Fantasy.
Thing to remember is views and topics like this are not black or white, no one is wrong
Read his/her post, it's not about refs. Nothing to do with channel 9's coverage and views.

Me too. We also just don't get fantasy mate.
But when Miller scores 80 I'll feel vindicated

Ponga is a better player than what he's shown. Am tempted at that price.

102 for me last night. None of the big scorers, none of the bad ones.
Just bang on average

Every week I think, this is the week Loiero stinks it up and asks for a trade.Shady2K wrote:How consistently ploddy has Loiero been. How good

Did a deep dive
On the app I’ve got 2/144
On desktop I’ve got 3/197 cos I’m looping eKat with my bye players
On both my overall score matches 2/144
But then when I go to rankings my overall score changes to the 3/197 one
So I think my rank reflects 3/197 but I dunno for sure
And of course none of the above has the score updates where I should be 2/141 or 3/196

Pete Badel is Reporting "Pat Carrigan to be cleared of hip-drop tackle. Will not be charged by NRL match-review committee in huge boost for Broncos and Queensland."
Seems as if Sanity has prevailed - not a hip drop at all

I love the refs, they are the best part of the game.....I also think the bunker should get involved more and take longer to make sure they get the decisions right.
Jokes of course, but really I don't like getting too worked up about refereeing decisions (not to say I don't get outraged, but I can let it go)
A couple of points
Just like in soccer there was a significant push for the introduction of technology and video refs to eliminate 'human error' but following its introduction there has been a massive outcry against it because
- In most cases you still need a human to interpret the results so it hasn't completely eliminated 'human error'
- It has, however, reduced 'human error' by aiding and abetting marginal technical decisions, where rules are interpreted strictly, when previously these would have been 'let go' because they were not
obvious in real time real (marginal offsides, marginal escorts etc)
Basically what we are clamouring for is the reintroduction of more human error on the refs part and then in turn we can whinge about how hopeless they are because they can't see what we can see in the super slo mo replay.
It's not a win win situation unless you like complaining about the refs (which is in itself a legitimate pastime)
