Id prefer to wait on Edwards and cop the price increase. If he gets good mins again this week and is named to start in rd 14 with Sutton back then id consider buying him

It's already probably been discussed, but what are the Forum's thoughts on VTK's chances of winning that Dolphins centre spot? Surely he's a stronger attacking option to B.Lee.

I could have sworn someone posted earlier in the week, some nice cherry picked stats that suit the trade whores in regards to Burbo ??

What about Crossland or Katoa to Drinkwater instead? Can funds work with that?  Guessing not? You will have 4 halves next week when you can only play 2.

Crossland Katoa and Niko all have pretty low BE's, Granville too. I can hold all of them a bit longer and still field 13 probably in rd13. I'm also hoping Crossland gets dpp in rd14 so that he can be my rd16 hooker.

You may be right, but you also said Miller isn't 1st grade standard. And maybe he isn't. And yet he still has the 1st grade spot and has scored a bunch of fantasy points. Players don't have to be great at football to do well at fantasy. It helps of course.

I'm not getting him this week. We don't even know if he will start given it's the last game of the round, and the fact that his real BE is still fairly high. But if he doesn't shit the bed completely this week and starts again next week, I'll be considering.

    Interesting point Mulvy.
    Just a question, what's Burbo's 'real' BE?

Bennett first thing in press conference was about his defence so I think it’s going to be a while

    Named in QCup this week

I guess if Wayne thought so, Lee wouldn't be starting centre this week.

Attacking threat yes, but a defensive liability.

Haha I may have seen it elsewhere at some point. I’m of the opinion there will be some last minute positional changes on Sunday so it’s a no from me

What are your thoughts on Luki. I was all keen but he's up over 500k so having second thoughts. Am worried about js and mins moving forward. Or do we just back the talent on this one?

I'm not sure I'd get him now mate. Priced at 38, minutes a question mark. I think if he was nailed on for 70-80 minutes then definitely. But he's still building fitness, he did put up a 19 the week before. Lucy may be returning. Lolo back soon too. I think at full strength, Nanai plays 80, and Lucy and Luki do the hybrid thing like with Gilbert last year. Probably Lucy starts edge and moves to middle after 20 when Luki comes on to edge and plays out the game. All speculation though. He's a gun player though, so you never know, but I think it's slightly late to bring him in.

Any Manly fans care to shed light on this?

I went looking for Burbo's NSW Cup stats.  I couldn't find his stats profile, so had a bit of a dig around, and I ended up puzzled.

Since the beginning of 2021 it looks like:

    > he played three NSW cup games in 2021, and no NSW Cup games in all of 2022-2023?
    > he has played 586 minutes across 20 NRL games, ie equal to 7.3 games.

Can it be right that he has played equivalent of around 10 games of rugby league since the start of 2021?

The three games I could find from NSW Cup make for horrific reading:

    Round 3, 80min 2RF, 32 fantasy points
    Round 4, 80min 2RF, 10 fantasy points
    Round 5, 80min 2RF, 17 fantasy points

In those 3 games he averaged 22 tackles, 6 missed tackles and 3 ineffective tackles per game.

I feel like I must be missing something???

EDIT: What ynot said earlier (and he found 1 game I did not find).
