Max King has averaged 57 minutes this season, but only had 39 at the weekend, which you would assume was an anomoly. His low before then was 51 minutes.

I'd rather now go Tapine for a lot less money than JDB. I wouldn't buy him at that price, who knows what may happen to his minutes.

I brought him in last week, partially on a Hail Mary to be a regular starter, but primarily to give me some coin for an upgrade from FORD to HOPGOOD + cover in WFB position to give me a complete 13 for first BYE round. I was stuck with the purchase of an average/tricky midranger if I didn't, maybe others were like that too. My train of thought was that in the likely case he doesn't make it this week, he may just play the first bye round with HTF being touted as a potential origin starter (Isakko to fullback/Lee to wing/ VTW to centre). Obviously alot has to fall into place, however it did get me the upgrade I needed of Hopgood and the valuable points he gave me last week and the valuable BYE schedule + Duel Position he provides moving forward.

Sometimes when you look solely at the stats on the website, you don't get a full insight into the why or the reasoning behind the trade.

    Just my  two cents.

Hmmm SIVO is 125k less and potentially could score just as well - small sample size but SIMONSSON at CTR could be a shout for much less too - appears to score better there than on the WNG

I guess the other question if that happens is whether Joe O is worth looking at?

He's nice and cheap at 469k (dropped over 300k so far this year) and we know he's a gun if he gets the minutes.

I'd be watching what it did for Twal or Matamua.

Mutual decision I reckon. Saves the media running it as being 'dropped'

Funny how everyone "retires" when they are told they arent getting picked.

Its like saying if you don't resign, you're fired.

Has to be, right? Given Papa said this literally two days ago:

"We'll see what happens; I'm always putting my hand up for Queensland and if I get in, I get in."

    https://www.zerotackle.com/josh-papalii-wants-teammate-to-join-him-in-maroons-colours-152396/

I imagine he got the tap on the shoulder that he wasn't going to be picked anyway, and they let him do it this way out of respect.

Dragons interim coach Ryan Carr has revealed Ben Hunt will stay at halfback this weekend as Jacob Liddle returns from reserve grade as the first-choice hooker to face the Roosters on Friday.

I am being much more selective in trades now, no trades this week, not planning to get the 30-40 average guys that you don't want in your playing 17, that are > $300k, just targeting the best cows and underpriced guns - Harris, iPap etc.

I mean, we won game three with Collins, Arrow and Gilbert. Depends if Billy wants to stay loyal.

Shouldn't come as that much of a shock really, in last year's series he played 22, 26 and 33 minutes.

With the middle depth QLD have at the moment, there's no real point carrying a starting prop to play so few mins.

Agree. That's why I'll just likely get Tapine this week and work out the rest next week. Even this news makes me second guess getting Tapine, but meh.
