    Agree with this

Feels weird to tell #1 what to do but in your position I'd just take the potential price hit with Hosking to get Harris next week. That gives you 12/13 and then you just decide next week whether you want a WFB for a full 13, have to deal with other issues, or want to make any other sideways bye planning moves.

I had a brief thought of trading Hosking to Harris this week and just play Olo.

Jamie at NRL Fantasy Analysis talking as though the Ofa to Eels move is a done deal, not sure what his source is.

Should be a guy you leave a MID spot for next week.

    Souths injury update…

Keaon 1 month away (unlikely til after bye)
Moale 1 month away (unlikely til after bye)
    Havili 3 weeks away

This is all points to good things for Tatola. Shaq playing reserve grade he’s back from injury this week and will step up to first grade next week most likely.

Man, I can't decide whether to go ahead on Hosking to Hopgood. I am down to 12 trades if I do it which concerns me.

I would prefer Shaq over Edwards for R13, with Murray and possibly Arrow out. Could score as well as Tatola for cheaper.

Hosking, Alamoti, Granville -> Hopgood, Burbo, H. Edwards

But the Papalii retirement and Joe O signing has me a bit spooked on Hopgood.

Wondering if it's worth just doing Hosking to Edwards + 322k bank this week. Means a slightly weaker 17 this week (although Alamoti over Burbo is probably a net positive) but gives me an extra chance to get a free look at Burbo and make sure Hopgood definitely doesn't make origin. Also get an extra price rise out of Alamoti and Granville hopefully.

Then next week, Alamoti, Granville, Boyd, Loiero -> Burbo, Tohu & two of Matto/Young/Hopgood/Horse once we know who's in and out of the origin squads.

Worth it, or just pull the trigger this week? Hopgood should be pretty safe right?

    Say what?
I've been out of the loop all week (long story - involves funeral for my dad) but, what happened to Papalii (is this the the fridge with eyes from the Raiders, or the weapon on the Edge for the Tigers?)
Also, since when has Joe O signed with the Eels??

Can someone bring me up to speed?

Josh Pap retired from Origin (not Raiders or internationals).....saves Billy a 'loyalty pick' or a difficult axing

Maybe the Eels are getting Ofa to cover for either Matto or Hopgood going to SOO

    Paulo Origin and RCG injury.

The good thing about Eels, is you know that the guys they trust to get big minutes. Can pick him week 1 in the side, without worrying about his minutes.

He was 86, suffering from dementia, died suddenly last Wednesday night (10th) after a pretty serious fall (fractured 16 ribs and concussed).
I'm OK as I've spent the last year and a half taking care of his affairs etc. and each time I've seen him I've made the our goodbye was what I'd want my last words to be.

He lived large - too many stories that I won't commit to a public forum, but he was a bit of a lad in his time.
I did his eulogy, so it was nice to send him off in a good way.

Why would you buy Ofa for 35s in 45 mins though?

    Hes already priced at 35.

They aren't buying Ofa to give him low minutes.

Would expect him to take the RCG minutes at 58 average.

    Thanks Chewie.
It's not the saying goodbye to my old man that's the pain, it's dealing with my family that caused the most stress.

Have a look at the minutes they are giving to established players:
    RCG 58 minutes
    Paulo 55
    Hopgood 64
    Matto ~60

With Paulo and RCG out, they will be giving him big minutes over the Origin period.

This is a guy that averaged 54 in 63 minutes last season, and they clearly recognise that he is being under utilised at Tigers, so are giving him an opportunity to step up.
