This is so unfathomably cool. Interesting that there are only 26 guys who average over 40 base points per game if I'm reading that correctly

42 over 40 base point average if you remove the filters and just look at 2023

Looks pretty slim.  Especially with the team announced that morning.  Unless he's already picked which seems unlikely.  I think Kaufusi and Welch comes in and then probably Nanai and Horse next in line.

Welch is a good team member, leader etc

Footy wise, pretty limited. Hoping Billy acknowledges Horse is a far greater threat to the blues.

Thought he was just about the best prop in the game before his last injury. Been fairly ploddy since, but wouldn't say Hors is long-term better.

Im honestly not sure if its the best game for Horse to debut for.  Could be immense or could be a liability.  I think I'd feel safer with Welch for this one.

All the mid range R16 MIDs are just meh.

Matterson and Ofa yet to be added to pack, also possible Origin 3 maybe? And even though it’s a standalone bye, don’t want to accumulate too many Eels lol

I've just wired it up to work with NRL fantasy data, it's very early days but I thought I'd share it here to see if it helps anyone.

I'd think of it like an extended / faster version of the stats centre in the official site. It does some things automatically like filtering stats by the position a player is named at in the team list, easy filtering by a range of seasons, per minute numbers and also some rudimentary base point calculations.

Let me know what you think or if you have any ideas.

I'll be looking to add bye round filters and breakevens at some point soon.
Ooh I thought the battle of the stats providers was over!

Take it with a grain of salt but foxsports late mail says he's not fully cleared and a call still to be made if he actually plays this week.

In UK super league news Josh MCGuire has been suspended for 12 weeks for “an offensive slur about someone’s disabled child”

He already got suspended for 7 weeks for offensive language earlier in the season

    Reckon he’s done

Somehow became more of a fool and a liability as he got older

I’m also thinking I’m not going to do Freddy roulette now

Cleary to Ponga, hold the Moses

Leaves a slightly absurd 918k in the bank

Jacob Lillyman was fairly limited and had very successful 14 game origin career for Qld

He got a 7 game ban earlier this year in a pre-season friendly for calling someone a [very bad 1970s word]. Seems to have levelled up. Think he's got sacked from his club now.
