Lemmy presents a conundrum. Have enough to shift Niko and Lemmy out and Bateman and Penis in.....but do I really want to trade in a player on a bye?

I think both the Dolphins have to go...Crossland looks like hanging around all year at this stage

Do we have a timeframe on Bird? Can get away with Manu/Lemmy this week if I bring an EDG in. Probably going to be Blore for Oloapu at this early stage

The thing that swung me on it, was that his calf/ankle injuries were assessed as week to week, sounded just like Hynes at the start of the season, and no-one seems to return quickly from a calf injury, always seen as high risk of recurrence if returning early.

Gives VTW time to try to cement the position. He wasn't the problem in defence last week, the other side of the field was a turnstile.

Have the option to trade Bird with Lemmy, Manu and Simonsson available. Would hate to trade him this week and he’s back for Round 19 though.

Don’t mind flicking him after that though

Tbh I just think Lemmy has lost the place to the 2 better players in Kaufusi and KBrom, but is too good not to be in the 17.

Anyone know what time the Walsh thing is on tonight? 930 NZ/730 Aus perhaps?

Hmm. was going to hold Lemu as he should still score servicably for CTR with circa 50 mins in the middle.

But Lemu > Val Meninga does allow for some juicy upgrades.

Bird's knee looks cooked. Like another great Dragons centre/utility - Shaun Timmins.

So what I'm saying is after some rest he's got 5 more years in him provided he never trains. He'll probably also kick a game winning field goal in Origin from 37m playing out-of-position at 5/8 at some point.

Bird was going to be my trade, with the debate between whether Koula or NULL out. Probably just wait another week now.

Despite having Hynes, I am really tempted to captain Horse this week. With Pap out, he likely gets 70 minutes again and will be into everything to prove he is ready for Origin 3.
