As much as I hate your very obvious agenda, as a Walsh owner I can't see him getting off lightly here.

His arrogance is there to see and I can see the NRL making an example of him so fellow youngsters stay in check and don't let their ego outgrow them.

Dragons playing first a bit annoying with Bird. Need to pull the trigger early on him to DCE or Fifita or possibly a CTR since I'll be down to just Manu and VTW.

Talakai, Ramien, Kelly and Sami with byes done. Timoko and Kris with the annoying Rd 20 bye. Aitken with a bye still and VTW won't cover that if he's even around still.. and not sure I want any more Dolphins. Kelly was dropped at some point, so probably avoid him.

Maybe Ramo since I'm a tightass and recommended him a couple of times recently.

FWIW I'm not really annoyed by Hunt personally, as I take the view clubs will always look to do the same in reverse.

More the system needs some guardrails.

Players moving mid-club on deals that don't go beyond the current season is obviously a terrible look that does nothing but alienate fans, especially those already suffering enough (because the traffic is pretty one way, and the competition hasn't been this structurally lopsided since the 1980s).

It would be pretty easy to do something between the reactionary cowboys running the NRL and the all-powerful RLPA that is mutually beneficial here. And in a bunch of other areas.

I wouldn’t mind it as much if the club getting the player had room for the whole salary under the cap. Getting hunt for $200k in a competition that has a finals series is just taking the piss.

Yeah, maybe it's a ban on short term deals for contracted players. Fair enough if they can sign them up for a couple of seasons otherwise it's gaming the salary cap system.

I bet his club and legal counsel have said let us do all the talking, just sit there and don't open your mouth.

Need an EDG for 17 this week with Hosking out.

TU: Save the $ for Cleary and go with a Blore/Curran type
TD: Spend it to bring in Fifita, worry about Cleary later

Do you have 2 edges for next week?

Fifita obviously the better play long term. I wouldn't get Blore at the cost of Fifita, but if you can get Fifita in R20/21 anyway, then I'd consider to get Blore now so you have his score for 19 too, then get Fifita after origin

Yah Bird is definitely not the word, he's got to go.

    Best options are either:

VTW, Sami or Ramien for coverage over 19/20.... yikes.

VTW seems like the fun play as Ramien seems to have left his mojo in 2022 and Sami is bloody expenny.

I just dodged that bullet as well, was 50/50 on Bird or VTW. Late reports on Brenko were the only thing that got me on VTW.
