I still can't believe Arthur is running the Carty-Party over Matterson on the Edge.

Well he wasn't injured today, just had his minutes managed since he was sick, but yeah he always banged up.
I will only have 5 trades left if I get in Cleary this week so I can't spare the trades for that tbh.

Looks like I’ve pulled a Rob with a 1010. Up to 779.
No idea what my trades will look like next round, will see what TLT brings.

Oh is that what was going on, thought he came off in the first half to get his wrist strapped. And then came on for 10 minutes in the second half.Weiland wrote:

Well, by some absolute miracle, it seems I've ended up with 1001 for the round pre updates. Captain Ponga and the introduction of Tago to the team paid off. Accidentally holding Bula worked this round, but not sure what to do moving forward. Onwards!

Made a big step towards cracking top 100 this week. 1021 gets me from 173rd->128th.

977(thanks for the contributions medium Nelson and Tohu), and one silly point from a top 5 LotB finish. Once I started going well in that comp, my end goal was to just remain on any of the lists.
Guess it’s time to go after one victory at a time in the Eliminator. It’s going to be interesting how people approach their matchups this week.

Well done mate that’s an insanely good team you are so so good at this game always up there and rightly so.rhinoceroo wrote:966 pre updates... pretty average. Annoying that I had to reverse my Simonsson to Cleary trade: that would have been worth a lot of points and places. As it is, have held rank at 15th. Have a few to add from the earlier games, so might rise one or two.
My big moves going to be next week: Hopgood, Sorensen, Simonsson and Sandon to Haas, Murray, Cleary and Kiraz (if DPP centre) to set final 21 with two trades for long-term injuries only. They might not all technically be trade-outs, but it's about finessing the side now to go big on the run home:
Grant
Haas, Horsburgh, JDB
Difita, iPap
Cleary, Hynes
Manu, Lemu
Drinkwater, Ponga, Edwards
DCE, SJ, Murray, Preston
Robson, Elliott, Kiraz, Kris

No Brimson meant I played with 16 got a 961 not great rank down from 580 to 608. I have 8 trades left. Feel a bit deflated.
But we go again next week. Probs can’t trade Hopgood now.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 71 - yeet regret
Im not sure who to trade to get cleary/fifita. Have 100k in the bank and 10 trades. Current side is
Grant
Haas Carrigan Horsbrah
Bateman Preston
Hynes SJ
Manu Lemu
Tedesco Drinkwater Guth
Hopgood Harris DCE Ponga
NAS Hands Ramien VTW
Couple boom or bust types but theyve been fun to own.
VTW down to a cheapie is the obvious move to free some cash
Should then leave 6 trades to navigate byes/restings/injuries
Team pretty solid as is but a definite fear factor of not owning cleary/fifita as they are likely to banner up at any given time
Carrigan has just had a rest and the Broncos have a big run of games coming.
Perhaps NAS down to a boom/bust guy like Kiraz (is he back???)
Maybe Harris has done his job, maybe he goes straight back to 60 in 80 mins..?
Maybe Guth has also done his job?

Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 71 - yeet regret
Tough week, ended up with 933 and fell from 38th to 58th. A few consecutive weeks of mediocrity have done me a mischief and then my big trade ins of Fifita, Cleary (who I reversed) and Grant didn’t really position me favourably against the top. Horse, Tapine, Teddy and JDB out didn’t help, nor did playing VTW, Matto and Tohu. Down to 5 trades now and one will be needed for Cleary

Updates pushed me from 982 > 1000 on the dot, Trajan didn't move from 998 (poor bugger).
Round rank is my birth year, Overall rank just outside the top 2k.
Still have the flu though so I feel like death, but at least my fantasy side are doing things!

Not doubting the Super Coach but I’d definitely a strange one
Only thing that makes sense is reducing Hammer workload during origin
Should go back to fullback next week

The resident teachers are hanging around the 2000+ rank.
Let's go.
Bludgers pulled in at 1024 (best score of the year by far), Rd rank 715, o/l 2384.

I think you've got it right with NAS and Harris.
Harris has a bye coming up, NAS on the edge is time limited.
A more out there option is to cash down Lem to a cheaper C and hope for a good run. I'm thinking about cashing down Simonnson.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 71 - yeet regret
Anyone else have the Eels trifecta of Moses/Hopgood/Hands?
Also Hopgood ended up with 56 from 61 mins, still almost PPM and if that offload came off that he threw forward, that's 60 points and his score looks different
He's still a keeper imo

If Haas is indeed back this week then the Haas vs Yeo decision is relevant again. Will have to go Haas now I think even with the bye to come
