I think there's an argument to be made there if you need a POD captain. Good for 60 odd minimum and probably goes 80+ with a try, which you'd think he's a good chance of scoring.
Haas also goes well against the Roosters (maybe just because he goes well against everyone tbf):
71
54
51
69
85
81
I think the best POD captain is DCE in his 300th game up against the Dragons

I still have Haas Tedesco and Carrigan from rnd 1, just sold Preston last week. Started with Hopgood but he left and then returned

Only one I have left is Haas, plus Hopgood who's gone out and back in.

Haas and Teddy my only two round one players still remaining. Cleary out and then back in.
Just looking back at my Round 1 team, I'd forgotten all about ever owning Egan Butcher.

Ted’s the only one I’ve kept all season. Prodigal sons are Cleary, Hopgood, & Grant.

Aside from Hynes, don't think other HBs have done much more than average against Dragons this year

CTR: Lomax, Manu, Garrick, Lemuelu, Kris
WFB: Teddy, Meaney, Ponga, Manu, Garrick, Kris, Bula (getting traded this week)
With all of this cattle, I feel like I can move Manu on with Bula to facilitate Cleary. Trading them both out would leave me with
CTR: Lomax + Lemuelu
WFB: Teddy, Meaney, Garrick
INT: Ponga
RES: Kris
It would mean I can run Cleary/Hynes/SJ in the halves, with Ponga as crazy backup (not to mention Hands).
What do you guys think? Bula + Manu + 296k gets me Cleary + 601k. I could either spend the 601k on an underpriced middy, or look to cashout to keep some cash for a future (injury) trade.
Sounds solid mate. Maybe BS9, or yeah a cheapie.

SJ got a 70 and Cleary was on 17 in 16 mins before he did the hammy, so decent chance he would have gone big against them.

Reminder that https://dash.yafss.com/ exists.
Want to know who the best halfback is for scoring this weekend? Click on team analysis.
It's the halfback going up against the Sharks. Cleary.
Next best option is SOS against the dogs but no one has him so pick Cleary or trade him in quick.

Yeah halfbacks score 1.6 more vs Dragons than average. Which is about what I expected. Take out Hynes, it might be negative
Matchups are so overstated, I will fight everyone on this forever.

SJ got 70 when he averages 65
70 is less than an average game for Cleary or Hynes
I think its not worth swinging for the fences on captains, with some very rare exceptions. This ain't one IMO.

Yay or nay?
Hopgood/Hands > Murray/Timoko (move Manu to wfb and Bula to loop).
Gets rid of 2 parra players for the final bye, which is currently a real problem for me. Also gives me depth in both ctr and wfb which I didn’t have before.
Edit: Hopgood could be Moses instead if that makes any difference
