3 trades left for me. Not much in the way of depth though. I've loaded up on halves (Cleary, SJ, Munster, DCE, Hynes) and mids (Yeo, Haas, Horse, Murray).

Paying off recently, but means I've got no Hooker cover, and i'm a WFB/CTR injury away from playing Kris.

Also got Munro and Cotric who look like red dots for the season in my reserves.

It's always a gamble this time of the year - last year I finished with a trade in hand so have decided to be a bit more aggressive.

The results for Fantasy Fantasy will be along shortly, but as this is my 1000th post I thought I should acknowledge that in some way

I guess it's a good opportunity to make my first (and probably last) use of that "smug as fuck" coffee emoji, so here goes

    Coffee

Bit of a double celebration. The 1000 posts, and pounding snatch.......................................in the eliminator

I'd like to apologise for the use of the coffee emoji and my previous 999 posts Wink

You got what was comin' to ya! I've avoided picking JDB all year because I knew this would happen, those 150 places I dropped over the byes were totally worth it*

The Aardvarks will rise to their rightful place in the hierarchy (placed about 110-125 taking historical performance into account) and make it through at least one more round

NRL.com’s match preview says Lemuelu in doubt.
So there’s a chance?? (Insert dumb and dumber gif)

On a side note, can any tech guru’s explain why I can longer post any gifs, emojis, etc etc.
I also can’t see anything hidden in a spoiler.
It seemed to coincide with an update to my Nortons 360 subscription.

    Cheers in advance.

There is always a chance, albeit very small, that Lemuelu didn't actually suffer a concussion (despite the category 1 HIA signs shown on the field). The team doctor would've assessed him when he came off to know this.

And then if he did, if he was to have no symptoms today and onwards he might be able to seek an exemption as I don't think previous concussions are an issue for him. All pretty unlikely.

I guess that's why they just say in doubt though.

I’ve gone the same 5 halves but don’t think I’ve got that MID depth. And with Lemu injured im already playing Kris. You’re definitely walking the tightrope better than me.

More good luck than good management. I don't have JDB or Lemu. I almost bought JDB on Anzac Weekend for $614k, but missed him and never got onboard. Very nearly bought Lemu last week, but went Garrick instead.

    All options feel meh at the moment to me;

Haas - Safe but couple of mid 50's plus a bye to come
Murray - Missed the big scores and still a buy.  Probably still the best pick it trading down
Yeo - Does he get another week off before finals?
AFB - Purple patch over, as you say, a few 40's.
McInnes - Missed the big score, probably plays 50 minutes this week for 43 points.  Seems a safeish option though
Horse (already own) - Would not be enticing after last week
    Hop/Matto - Crucial round 27 bye
Tapine - I've already owned but seems safe for 45-50.  Don't think I'd go him again though.
Carrigan - Decent option but bye to come.
Fotu - Scoring went back to normal this week
    Harris - Won't be playing 80
    Butcher - Nah, Roosters suck
Soro - Doesn't feel like for like.  I think he gets a week off before finals too.

Tossing up between AFB & Murray.
I think I'll go with AFB > no more byes, potential to go big, juicy final 5 match-ups, and most importantly relatively poddish and could drag the Bludgers closer to the top 2000. (The dream of ending up in the top 1k died a miserable death over the Origin weeks)

Kris against Tigers. Not the worst. If Null gets the nod that'd be better. But hey, can't win them all!

I remember a year or two back having to make my final trade Nu Brown. He ended up averaging mid 40s or something to play out the final rounds. So for those strapped on cash, there's hope for a half decent score on a not-so-standard trade.

Had a look at AFB but averages 5 less with Tevaga in the side (who's back this week)

Could easily get managed minutes too if they are up by a few.
