Nah dont' agree with assessment, he'll be right? How does that work?

Hmm not really, the independent doctor is just making a judgment of the significance of the head injury assessment that should apply based on replays and that just decides whether they are ruled out for the game or get a chance to pass the HIA.

I'm sure the independent doctor would say that they need to do a hands on assessment to truly assess concussion symptoms and players need to be monitored for multiple days. Dolphins will need to get an exemption approved to play him it's not like they're just able to make their own decision on it.

I’m going to play Kris ahead of Montoya and Simonsson this week

Kris vs wests in must win game

    Simonsson matches against tricky lomax

Montoya against a tricky Sami and can score poorly as left wing

    Any objections?

    Reasonable logic for sure

    Is that right though?

Isnt the process, ID assess the clash after looking at replays and deems the category? He deemed it a CAT1 which starts the 11 day sit down doesn't it?

Dolphins have turned around and said they don't agree with the cat 1 call?

If I remember correctly, this isn’t the first time this has happened, Turbo was exempted from the Cat 1 stand-down because he wasn’t diagnosed with concussion, which sounds like what has happened here.

This is where there has been this confusion (and rightfully so) as the independent doctor is assessing if an HIA is required and if so what level. They aren't assessing the concussion itself, they can't do that from replays. I don't think the category of the HIA actually has any impact on the 11 day stand down, that applies if a player is conifrmed to have suffered a concussion regardless of the initial HIA category.

This is Annesley's explanation from earlier in the year with the Turbo one.

I wish I could laugh about this, but Bennet scares me more than most coaches.
If there's one old bastard who can get a player / team up for a game it's Wayne.

Here's hoping the Knights run of form keeps on keeping on and Best / Marzhew run over him for a couple of meaties each.

Where is the call of Cat 1 coming from? Was this stated after the game?

Annoying but ah well, looked through the replacement options today and considering I’m not sold on the MID/EDGs I don’t have, I think I’ve ended on DCE vs Munster, leaning towards Munster due to being less owned at the higher end of the rankings and also because his last round is vs Broncos and he doesn’t know how to have a bad game against us.

Ah that would have been handy but had low expectations. Guess he becomes Yeo or Haas

Haas definitely misses 1 game and Yeo probably misses the final round.

Sixth charge for the year it was bold to challenge.

Didnt think he had much chance tbh, but you expect the unexpected with the Due Dishy Airy

NRL probably sick of his name being in the news.

Hadn't considered it until this moment, but I guess JDB being out - if it has any impact whatsoever - only solidifies Dan Russell's job security, with one more hole in that forward pack needing to be filled by someone that won't contest Russell's position?

Podcast went well, haha it's different shooting from the hip like that
Given it was Q&A I didnt want to fuck peoples teams or the podcast up too much haha

Still managed to fit a couple of 'fun' lines in there, not meow super trooper levels though
Will up my game, but went ok for popping the cherry I guess
