It was recorded as a failed HIA by the NRL.

Not a lot was said about it in comms

I must preface this by mentioning the fact that I have the memory of a smacked trout, but I swear I remember them saying it was Catagory 2 on the telecast. I was watching a replay, knowing he must have got a HIA, and I feel like I remember wondering why he was ruled out so quick if it was Category 2 (the call came only a few mins after the incident - don't think it was 15, or even 10 mins before he was ruled out).

But yeah, I'd had the same wonder following the incident as there was barely a thing about it mentioned at all.

It makes me very pleased that he is named, and I really hope it sticks. If he's a late out it'll really fuck me up this week as the window to bring in Latrell will be long gone at that point (Tohu will have played, Garrick and Manu will be locked in etc).

    Youre probably right

I wasnt watching closely, but do recall he was ruled out really quickly. I guess thats why we all assumed cat 1

I have a feeling he plays centre this week. This feeling is only based on 'no way kodi plays centre'.

That said, they could easily move tesi niu to centre, and bring in bostock or fuller to wing

Or maybe kodi and htf will do some switching

Yeah, if I could use him to get Latrell I think I'd just do it for peace of mind.

Sadly, I'd need to use Tohu, but if every green dot sticks this week, I have a pretty alluring looking squad that I'd be happy to play as is. But the situation definitely makes me nervous, especially considering it's a knock out H2H in my cash league. Tohu to Latrell is probably a nice upgrade either way, but being able to hold that trade one more week would possibly be even a little sweeter.

I will vouch for this. They definitely said on the telecast category 2.

This is where NRL Physio fired up before because apparently in pretty much every other sport Cat 1 means you have suffered a concussion i.e. the symptoms are sufficient for a diagnosis, and it's a mandatory stand down. And until the Turbo exemption, that's what he and others (including physios he talked to working for NRL clubs) thought the rule was. Classic NRL making something black and white into a grey area

Having said that, I watched the vid too now and I don't think Lemu was Cat 1 anyway

Yeah classic NRL with the grey area for sure. Not too familiar with how other sports run it but I do kind of get the logic that just because the doc watching replays decided it was cat 1 at the time it doesn't completely end there. If the guy ends up having no symptoms afterwards and the days following leading up to the next game then seems reasonable that an exemption is possible. But I'm no brain injury expert that's for sure.

Yeah annoying but my replacement for him have done well last 2 weeks (Ramien 62 and Loiero 51)

So happy to save a trade and put him in EMG until he’s back

Garrick playing first is a real pain if Lem ends up a late out.

    On Lemuelu:

"Connelly Lemuelu has been named despite being deemed to have shown Category 1 signs of concussion by the independent Dr in Rd22. Been told Dolphins medical staff didn’t agree with Cat 1 assessment + Lemuelu passed further testing. Assume they are contesting concussion diagnosis" (NRLPhysio)

With CTE being such a hot topic, the NRL needs to get all their ducks lined up in a row.

JDB hearing has commenced, given his track record, he has plenty of experience being appropriately dressed for court Laughing

    Centre roulette

I’m going to play Kris ahead of Montoya and Simonsson this week

Kris vs wests in must win game

    Simonsson matches against tricky lomax

Montoya against a tricky Sami and can score poorly as left wing

    Any objections?
