WT Winfield wrote:I'd captain SJ before Hynes.

Most people leaving Garrick out are still going to play him if he scores well. I'd play Lemu over him if I couldn't loop. Fullbacks have generally been scoring like ass against Panthers (except Latrell), even with Cleary and others out.

    Latrell: 54 and 75 with a double
    Teddy: 15 and 51 with a try
    Ponga: 17 with a try
    TTrbo: 16 with a try
    Bula: 45
    Walsh: 33
    Guth: 32
    CNK: 29
    Meaney: 16 and 29

I was gonna loop Ramien by default, but have chucked Garrick in there instead. Not worried about DCE. Should get decent KMs and hopefully an attacking stat or two in the drubbing.

Yep, this is all it is for me. Having recently "enjoyed" Teddy's and Ponga's scores against the Panthers, my assessment is that Manly are certainly not playing better than Knights or even Roosters, and Garrick is also not quite the fullback that Ponga and Teddy are. I personally can't see an avenue where Garrick scores over 20, but I'd hand out free high fives to be proven wrong.

As for Cleary captaincy, I haven't thought about taking the C off him, but playing alongside Cogger is a bit of an unknown, innit? Not enough for me to do anything outrageous, but it's a curious situation.

They've taken a little mental health break from their relentless campaign against Jerome Luai (Fueling that sort of 'stacks on' work is fatiguing) and the Payne 'contract saga' is a little bit of light relief

You've all scared me into putting Garrick at 18 tonight now but saying that with all the talk, I'm looking forward to his 77 points tonight.

Sounds like too much of a HIA or suspension risk.

Does Ty Cobb play baseball? Or did? Babe Ruth and that other guy that's famous. You know the one I'm talking about.

    One of those.

Woodrow (the president) was the name, but the photo was ice Hockey player Gordie Howe

(I plucked that name from memory without looking it up, apologies if I got it wrong)

Yes!  Thank you great Cow!  Haha, not a total fail then.  That's right the picture from a magazine but the name plucked off the wall or something!

The picture just instantly reminded me of that.

Edit: was indeed the correct name, well done.

IPap to Trell to avoid having to play Avo and Te Whare this week? Only two trades remaining before this so it'd be cutting a fine line. Currently have IPap as 18th man and it feels like a bit of a waste

Depending on my Edwards loop, I’ll be doing a thrilling last trade of HGraham to DRussell

I honestly think trading green dots at this stage of the year with only 2 trades is playing with fire but if you're feeling lucky then do it!
